Come on. Sheriffs.

If the raise of Sheriffs continues, shouldn't there be more Rebel Bases/Drug Dealers out there so there's room for people to do things rather than having a Sheriff camp base over and over?
I know it's a Roleplay for Sheriffs but limits to what you can really do in drug dealing.

 

I honestly think there are too many sheriffs. Individual sheriffs don't have fun because ther's always a sheriff at every rebel base within the last 5 minutes or something like that. The only real way a sheriff has fun in my opinion is when there are shoot outs and a raid on a rebel base that turns into three sheriffs vs six players shooting back at them. The players don't have fun because all of the rebel bases are practically camped. There is almost no way for players to actually process drugs and get money when there are enough sheriffs on which that threshold of the "too many sheriffs on" amount is unfortunately all the time. Besides doing drug runs, mining is the only other way (besides killing) to make money and we all know how much fun that can be.

 

Boy, I love spending hours mining & standing afk processing just to pay something then "well, there's like 3 Sheriffs camping drug farms, looks like it's Mining Simulator again or I get a team to kill the Sheriffs to process enough to buy a horse."

Looks like sheriffs are doing a good job.

 

We should take away some sheriffs so it would be fair to all the robbers. All the robbers aren't going to have fun if there are sheriffs coming in all the time. I think we should fix this. May the force be with you!

 

The way sheriffs are able to arrest you mid fight and take all your stuff even the stuff that isn't illegal is extremely unfair.

 

I believe your main problem with this is that you try to process for too long. Also, there are many sheriffs that have similar time zones so that's also a problem. I feel like we should put a cap in how many sheriffs we can have because I agree that it can be a little... Much at times. However, most sheriff's don't camp. I actually prefer to protect mines because I'm not the best at pvp.

 

Idk if this is true, but I like servers where you have to really use time to do something. For example a 2mil house; it should take months to purchase one and not just 1 week or so. In real wild west it'd take years... (I don't like to refer to irl much but... :/)

Also you can easily do something about a Sheriff: process on edge of the building so you can run away, get good and fight back, put your illegal stuff in a horse and send it to stable etc. This happens to me all the time.

If you get arrested all the time, think of a new technique. And as someone said process smaller amounts. I used to do 15min processes and then sell and come back again.

Btw Sheriff's aren't allowed to camp or log in rebel bases. If you see this happen make sure to send a PM via forums (or slack I guess) explaining the scene (proof helps a lot). Take note that, me for example, first need to arrest if needed. Then I check the whole base, and do a nother round looting chests.

 

Just shoot the godd*mn sheriffs!

 

They constantly run back and use Handcuffs to instantly lock down the player. Even if the player has unlimited ammo, they will get to the player with a handcuff at one pont

 

Just keep killing them

1. That's like asking the police while robbing a bank, "Can you just, like, leave for a bit?"
2. They don't camp. They make their rounds.

1. That's how they get money... What do you expect?
2. You have killed them a few times, to have a super high bounty. The higher the bounty the arrest, the more money they get...
3. You are doing something illegal.

 

Sheriffs mostly just hop from rebel bases to fields, to cartels and etc. They just fight the crime ,deal with it. Doing illegal stuff should remind you that it's dangerous.

That would be too difficult for the sheriffs and we would need more and more people would rage.

Just run.

Yesterday there were 5 sheriffs out of 100 players... how is that OP?

And yes, there should be something that lets you keep legal items when getting arrested... it's quite frustrating.

 

That's the whole part of the game. You are not supposed to do illegal activities, because, of course it's illegal. Sheriffs are meant to be quite op, so the people will have a bigger challenge doing those illegal activites... That's what makes the game fun and challenging. It's not easy getting away will illegal activities, you've got to find strategies to overthrow the sheriffs. If you really can't do it, stick to mining.

 

People mostly rage when they get arrested / killed by a sheriff though :/, and then say they abuse...

 

I know right! It is so stupid to shout 'abooooose' and to rage when a sheriff gives you a poppy and arrests you for having 1 poppy!

 

We can't keep illegal items, it gets converted to money and disappears.
