Barret 50 cal.

Though you're 100% right, this isn't really a priority right now. It's been like this for years, and hasn't really caused a big deal. War 2.0 is the priority at the moment.

You can do that with a dragonov.

 

With any sniper you can headshot. And like @Snail_5_ said, it's been like that do a long time and I don't think they'll change it any time soon.

 

It is certainly true that the Barret 50cal isn't a strong weapon right now, but if you want this to change you should suggest how to resolve the issue.

 

The barrett is arguably the worst weapon in the game. I would say that every single other gun besides the SMG's and possibly the AA12 is better then the barrett. It you take a look at the stats, even the L118A is clearly a much better choice of a weapon. The very first sniper, unlocked at login and costs nothing, is better than the barrett, which costs 100 credits and is unlocked at level 16. The L118A shoots at 71 RPM, while the barrett shoots at 60. It takes a ridiculous amount of time in between shots with the barrett. The L118A has the same reload time and has more ammo than the barrett. It does less damage, but one shot with the USP45 will kill the shot player, rather shot by the barrett or L118A. Also, the L118A has better accuracy! Was this supposed to be that the very first weapon is clearly much better than the third weapon of the same class? I mean, the barrett is just so terrible. It needs a RPM buff and accuracy buff. It is just a severely inferior weapon. It has room for an upgrade too. There is no way it will ever be better than the iso, leaving room for the much needed buff.

 

This is why I use the Barrett almost exclusively. Because nuking with it is the ultimate expression of badassery in this game right now. I don't care what your argument is against Barrett nukes, it's wrong

I like the way the weapon handles right now. It's got this weight about it that's different from the other weapons. With good strategy and consistent headshots is a relatively simple matter to wield this weapon correctly

 

I'm a god with the Barrett. @PoixMine @NayJal should know this. I hurt their foreheads.

 

It looks like you don't have many options besides the Barrett at the moment

Honestly I don't know why I keep adding things to this. I guess I'm trying to prevent myself from looking like as much of a jerks. sorry. I'm already in a bad mood today and now I'm just screwing up further.

 

To buff the Barrett, you could increase the fire rate and body shot damage, but not enough to make it better than the MSR.

 

Well that's the issue. If you buff the bodyshot damage it becomes the iso (it already does nine hearts (eighteen damage) per body shot. Making it easily the most powerful rifle in the game next to the Iso) the rate of fire really should be slower than the l118a. Remember the Barrett is a heavy sniper (the heaviest sniper actually, the Iso fires much faster than it) , like the Iso and the L118a. Changing the weapon from what it is now would be a bit of a balancing act but I do agree with adding a slight rate of fire buff.

 

I forgot, it does have incredible damage, so yeah, the fire rate would be a great buff for it.

What I'm trying to say is that in the future, things like this on Legacy War could be changed, but as of now, the main focus is War 2.0.

 

How about barret 50 cal becomes 1 shot, 3 round slower firing rate. Make iso 5 shot to make it more of a difference?

They should make it as lifelike as possible I mean the barret should surely replace the iso, just names, it's got a 1/2 inch diameter fgs

 

Barret 50cal should stay like it is now, because the more advanced players can use it.
I have tried the Barret lately and it is a real challenge, since I am used to the one-shot-one-kill Isolator. The barret kinda is a one-shot-one-kill, but only for headshots (this is what is makes a challenge). If you miss the shot, you simply die.
