Impossible to make money.

It is indeed very frustrating when there's 25 people online, with 3 sheriffs. And because the sheriffs are camping especially poppy, *cought* InfiniSTistus *cought*, it's really hard. And since they can't really just tell one or two of the sheriffs to "play another time", sheriffs should probably get nerfed a lot.

 

There are many times that there are no sheriffs, so -1 to the nerf.

Well then, let's make no sheriffs, they're too good players they need to be removed. Also let us sell drugs for 100 times more price so we'll be able afford full horses of dia sets and illegal guns. Let's make Wild West great again!

 

There's meant to be sheriffs on all the time, but that's not gonna happen all the time because most of them have lives. You're not supposed to be able to rob all conductors and do all the drugs in the world with zero risk like you often can between 2 AM and 4 AM. To anyone saying that there's never a time without any sheriffs on, you're simply mistaken and basing your statement completely off of your own anecdotal evidence.

Even so, it's easy get away with illegal things when sheriffs are online, especially with the player tracker removed, if you just sneak around. Seriously. Just take the extra time to be stealthy and sneak when doing illegal stuff so that you aren't found. It'll save you from raging when your items are confiscated and you have to go to prison.

I really like how things are more expensive now and drugs don't sell for as much. Going around in full diamond and illegal guns is now more of a risk, which I actually enjoy. People now are more careful than they were pre-reset, which creates for a more strategic, fun, and challenging game.

Like I've been saying, sheriffs don't need much of a nerf (if at all) because 1. they're easy to kill if you sneak up on them, and 2. they're meant to be powerful law enforcers that you're not able to kill super easily, encouraging you to either run from them to not get arrested or not do illegal things when they're around.

TL;DR - It's not too hard to make money, and sheriffs aren't OP. Play the game smarter, and you'll succeed eZ pZ.

 

Have you tried mining for ore?

 

It's easy to make money, it's hard to run drugs solo.

Use a teammate as a Door guard/Rogue tracker bait, and keep your horse near you. When you see your teammate's warning, stash all your processed (hopefully all unprocessed too, if it's a sheriff) drugs in your horse, stable it, then go help your teammate.

If you guys lose the fight, your horse saved your profit. If you win the fight, call your horse and continue processing.

As to your second point:
Sheriff starting gear (last I checked) is still quite economical and strong.

The issue with sheriff numbers is (imo) that due to irl reasons staff held off on their apps for too long. Then, to fix this absence there was a rush of new sheriffs, and their playtime will overlap for a bit until some go inactive. There is evidence in the comparative quality of the newer sheriffs that the vetting process has suffered some.

 

I know drugs give more money, but mining is not bad. I make well over 1000 ounces per trip to the mine. If I'm not killed while mining.

 

Here, try this. Go do smaller drug trips. Have friends act as bait. DO NOT SHOOT THEM. Drugs aren't the only way to make money. If mining was easier and faster I would even consider doing it, but it's so bad that it's worth losing 3 hours on drugs to even do mining lol

That was just over 20 days ago. There are seven new sheriffs since then. It takes the fun out of the game for everyone when there are too many sheriffs on. It is perfect when there is one sheriff to every 25 people. That makes it so that when 75 people are on, three sheriffs are on. That may even be too low of a ratio. Maybe 1:30 people. To add to the dilemma, the sheriff guns are extremely powerful. A sheriff is practically always going to win a 1v2 if they're the average player. The repeater does some unreal amount of damage like 8.5 hearts with one shot. Anything basically will kill the shot player.

 

Too many sheriffs ya? Reset done, getting 80k bounty on instant because I rob conductors and nobody comes. yawn
