Sheriffs travel about 10 blocks per second on their horse. That means that response time = blocks to go / 10

    So:
    1:00 to shrooms base
    3:20 to coco
    2:40 to tobacco
    2:00 to wild grass
    1:30 to poppy

Also known as don't use poppy or shrooms

Make sure to tell us when you are going to a base :grinning:

Tobacco is one of the nearest Rebel Bases. You forged the timer to make yourself an advantage, ya?

It is close to the city, but the sheriff station is over 500 blocks from the city centre.

These times are from sheriff stations, which aren't in the city centers.
And @TheMafias now you know how long it takes a sheriff to get to a base of you go rouge and kill someone. You could also have one of your friends stay by the sheriff station and tell you if a sheriff shows up.

You keep suggesting things that ruin the gameplay for players... so someone has to sit there and watch. Do nothing and ruin their fun to see if someone who wants to ruin ours is coming.

People usually favour one kind of drug to process for their owns reasons.

    Reasons I can think of
    1. Closest to their Team HQ
    2. Most valuable
    3. Farthest from sheriff stations
    4. Can hide in an OP spot while in processing range
    5. Drug dealer not far away
    6. Sheriffs wouldn't expect someone to be doing the specific drug because it's trash

Every drug has its benefits though.

Doing drugs shouldn't be easy- it should be difficult to get away with processing more than 3 stacks. And as a player, I had more issues with other players killing me than sheriffs arresting me.

Depends on if you're talking about real life or Wild West.

I often guard a zone which overlaps popular routes for sheriffs and players to a base, while that base is being used by us.

For instance, in Frisco you will want to be just to the North East of the Sheriff HQ, as a relatively short patrol will allow you to intercept Sheriffs, people heading straight to the base from town, and people heading to the fields. Coupled with a player watching the eastern Bridge, and Wildgrass Base is pretty safe. The only exception is if a raid of entirely zero bounty players shows up to kill you, which is usually difficult for an enemy to arrange.

Alternatively, a single player can patrol the 500-600 around a base that is nearest a town.

Having these sentries may not be as exciting as all of you sneaking in the same kill box (/s), and you may lose out on processing by 1-2 people, but as long as you have people who are inclined to pvp, this is a smart tactic. Even if a fight goes poorly at a base before you can return to defend your team (@Eil logging directly into WG base, for example) you can quickly respond with your patrol.

If you think only of the boring way to do things, you will be bored. Our way lets me offer my team moderate protection, give me occasional troll kills on sheriff horses (and one time the sheriff too), and also lets me scoop up any loot that happens to wander into my zone.

    ------on topic------

I'd like to see the Official Sheriff horses calculate their call time from each Sheriff HQ, while any normal Store or Stable bought horses use the Stable Master like everyone else.

This would have advantages and disadvantages, as the only place it would be instant to call would be from a Sheriff HQ, and there are plenty of spots on the map where you would prefer it to calculate from a stable. That being said, it would help Sheriffs respond to Conductor robberies and Rogues about 25-40 (edit: 20-50) seconds faster, if their horse was alive.

Call times range from about 50s (Armarillo) to 20s (Ells)
