    Hey guys,
    So ever since I transfered over to the brawl servers from mcpvp I wondered, why can't brawl make their servers 1.7 and 1.8 compatible? Is it too much money? I don't know if I'm asking for too much I just want to get your guys' feed back on this post :^).

    its not that its expensive, but servers always like to be up to date with the minecraft updates because of their new features and most players will be playing those. Also, the coding may be different between the two updates. So yes, it would be nice to go back to 1.7 - 1.8, but then brawl would not be able to accept 1.9 players.

    No, they shouldn't. It would take features away from 1.8 and 1.9. Servers generally don't go 2 updates back.. ex 1.7-1.8 or 1.6-1.7, normally just the current update and one back until most players have switched over to 1.9.

    I've been trying to make HG go back to 1.7, but apparently the code for HG is not compatible with 1.7, so they would have to rewrite HG to go back to 1.7

    I don't think brawl should go back to 1.7. It's very outdated and won't be compatible with a few functions on brawl.

    1.10 is most likely being released over the summer. That'll mean Brawl will need to be compatible with 1.7, 1.8, 1.9 and 1.10, and I'm not even sure if that's something Hypixel could pull off and not screw up.
