No perms, but can place half-doors?

Likely, this is a glitch.
The doors cut into have because the game has registered the door is not suppose to be there- but your client hasn't registered it... So it only shows half.

If you can walk through them, then it's 100% a visual glitch.
If you can't walk through them, this needs to be fixed.

Try it on a few other maps and see if other players are able to see them.

If all else fails, restart Minecraft and see if the issue persists.

 

It's a glitch that has been there for so long now. You can do the same thing with lava/water. It looks like it is there but it isnt at the same time

 

Oh yes, I have seen that on Survival PvP.

 

If you right/left click the half doors they disappear, which explains why nobody else can see them. They render to you because you placed them, but not to others, and since it's not actually there, if you try to interact with it it just disappears

This is most likely caused by the game not knowing what to do when the server restricts placing of a door so it just makes a visual halfdoor

 

Actually some players figured out a way to glitch out lava and water, such as on Survival PvP, to be able to climb up walls in spawn. On the side of the player, they're climbing up water- but to other players, it looks like they're using spider (A wall climbing hack). So it's quite possible for this to happen actually.

 

But my post wasn't about using water and lava to climb walls in anti-build zones

 

I'm just saying that the same rule applies,
I'm very certain that doors work as well and can be glitched. Meaning it's the same situation.
