Sell This to a Different Server

    I was never really into the entire mc-hg gamemode, but I really liked it's creativity and popularity.

    Now, it's dead weight. Next to nobody is on most of the time and is just wasting a server slot at this point. It's sad to see one of mcpvp's most popular gamemodes reduced to a empty server.

    I think it'd be best for the gamemode (and brawl, to be frankly) to sell or just give the gamemode to munchymc (Or any other server). I suggest munchy because thesaintsofgames (bbh, ones of mcpvp's admins) is an admin there and was a major youtuber for hg. I think that they would probably treat this gamemode better and (hopefully) bring the large mc-hg community back.

    Again, this is a suggestion. As of right now, mc-hg is just dead weight on this server and a shell of what used to be a very original and creative server.

    You're joking right...

    I see your point, but I think Brawl should sell HG back to hclewk. I think he would be able to fix HG. However, the game will never be as popular as it once was ever again, no matter where HG ends up.

    I like the sell it back to hclewk idea but I doubt he would be interested.

    Munchymc isn't a horrible idea either

    HG was pure Hardcore Games. No rodding kiddies involved...

    Munchymc has less players than Brawl and only 3 of their 8 or so gamemodes actually succeeded. I doubt that if Brawl sold HG to them they would get any more players than Brawl. Imo the only way to get more players is to just sell HG to a big servers that a lot of people play on since most people on those servers will likely check HG out.

    Honestly... Instead of ridding of it, they could shut it down and make it run once a week. Greating more suspense and anticipation. Plus they can give a free weekly rank from it. More fan base, more time to prepare and a lot less skill cap due to huge playing gap.

    Hunger games (I know it's called hardcore games now but whatever) is a very specific gamemode and needs a specific fanbase in order to succeed. Due to the hunger games craze back a couple years ago, hg became very popular. However, the gamemode died with the craze. But, and correct me if I'm wrong, I feel that hunger games is quite like war in the fact that as summer comes around people will be more obliged to play it. After all, it takes a decent amount of time to finish a hunger game so it's understandable that people wouldn't pay much attention to it.

    Although I like the idea, I doubt anyone would wanna buy HG, with the possible exception of hclewk (Knowing him though, he would update the game to 1.9, only making it worse). It's 2016, soup is a dead concept and most players in the Minecraft PvP community are playing either pot pvp or uhc and survival games. Although I wish HG could be revived, I doubt anyone would be able to recover the game because these gamemodes and pvp styles (pot/uhc/sg) dominate the PVP community nowadays.

    I doubt Brawl will ever sell HG, but I don't see the point of keeping it up. Let's face it, HG is dead.

    Right now, hclewk is working on a different project (I won't say what it is, but I'll say it begins with a "c" and ends in "tf") so I doubt he'll bring back HG for now. Also, HG on Brawl is already 1.9 (yes, you can play it on 1.8, but it is compatible with 1.9 - combat is the same on both). Servers can't stay on a particular version forever just because they don't like a new version. They just have to get used to it.

    Yeah, that'd make a lot more sense, then the CPU time can go to other servers the rest of the time to make other gamemodes capture the flag less laggy.

    Also, surely even a server with no-one on it costs money to run, so not having it active 24/7 would save a lot of money

    I completely agree with this. I tried to defy 1.9 like everyone else because the combat system is caca. However, I sucked it up and gave 1.9 a serious try.


    Still hate it but it's tolerable.

    Popular PvP servers such as Badlion and McGamer have been able to maintain support for 1.7, 1.8 and 1.9 clients, and doubt they will drop 1.7 support unless absolutely necassary (especially Badlion). However, you are correct; at one point a server does have to update.

    I personally prefer it. Before, there were a lot more strategies but you could learn and pick up these strategies in a few minutes of playing. Now, there are a lot less strategies, but it takes more skill to pull them off more.

    Emphasis on that bit. Hardcore PvP servers will probably always stay compatible with 1.7. Wish they'd go back to beta 1.3.

    True. Now it's actually challenging to go mining at night and good luck taking on more than one skeleton at a time...

    Vanilla? Pfft. I play CTM maps such as Super Hostile a lot, where you'll end up fighting tens of mobs at the same time. 1.9 is a b**** to use for that, but I have to admit it is a lot more fun.

    Actually, I agree with this.

    Brawl has been dragging HG out for the pennies that it is worth. HG has no player base on this server, and is constantly filled to a max with a stunning amount of players- zero.
    Selling the gamemode to hclewk probably wouldn't work out well due to the fact he couldn't keep up his own server that he made for a short period of time- I doubt he could keep up someone else's.

    Selling the gamemode to MunchyMC, however, would probably be a way better option. It doesn't matter who has the server, HG just needs a better home and Brawl cannot be that home. MunchyMC has a player base that is MUCH more interested in playing HG than all those other strange gamemodes that we both have. It's just the fact that the people from MunchyMC refuse to give into the temptation of dishonoring the server by playing on Brawl HG, therefore no one plays on it at all.

    So yes, selling HG to MunchyMC +1
