Block the word cracker

Shut up, this is the dumbest thing ever.... Even as a troll it is just bad.

 

Okay I can't tell if this is serious or not, but either way this is kinda ridiculous.

We block the N-Word because of how in history it has been used as a discriminatory slang term against dark skinned people that is meant to be offensive. Because of the history behind it, the word is blocked.

In all seriousness, the word "Cracker" is not offensive. Despite slaves in the ye ole' days calling their landlords and slave owners a cracker because of the whips they had and the "Cracking" sound they made, cracker also has other purposes. The N-Word does not; it is solely a discriminatory term.

If someone seriously offends you with the word "Cracker", then you can /chatreport them and the staff team will handle it.


This is a serious problem, and is not taken lightly.


Next time, check your white privilege before you post something like this in the future.

Yes, there are quite literally unexplained privileges just on the basis of being white.

De jure, racial stereotyping and discrimination is suppose to be eliminated and people should be equal on the basis of color.

De facto, there are so many racial stereotypes out there for dark skinned and non-Caucasian people that it applies to all sorts of things, such as: college applications, the work force, and interest group memberships; therefore supporting the fact that racial stereotyping still exists (White people included). But the idea that Caucasian people are not as discriminated as other minority groups has caused a lot of this.

Speaking as a white male, my background in United States government has shown me this to be unbelievably true. The struggle for pure equality is beyond a level of my belief, and that goes for all minority groups- not just color.

But we can save this debate for another time and another place.

Let's not throw out accusations. Although it may or may not be true, let's just stick with the topic of the word "Cracker".

 

And if people are trying to write my name instead of cracker, is it also going to be blocked? Hue #PrayForCrack

Regardless of whether or not it was taken seriously, no one* thought it was funny. And it's true that basically everyone is just going for mod.
