    We aren't allowed guns unless it's for pest control or have hunting. (10 gun deaths per year because of it... Search up Americas and be amazed)

    Countries with the most strict gun laws (UK, France, Australia, South Korea) allow gun ownership to some extent. Primarily for hunting.
    If you want to look at countries that have completely banned guns, look at China and North Korea.

    Well, the obvious reason for that is self defense. I'm not going to debate you on guns, but I will tell you this, if someone breaks into your home with the intent to harm you, they're going to, whether it be with a gun, knife, or with their bare hands.

    Not in every case. People will commit an act without the intent of harming someone, but inevitably someone ends up getting hurt, either directly or indirectly.
    There are other reasons for gun ownership too. If you live remotely, and you had a bear knocking at your front door, wouldn't you wish you had a shotgun to defend yourself, your property, and your loved ones?
    Especially here in Alaska, there are people who can't go to the supermarket every afternoon and buy a package of roast beef or chicken breast. Where do they get their dinner, their lunch, their next meal? By walking out of town with a gun in their hands, and claiming the life of an animal. For these people, they know no other way of life, or don't have the option to choose any other life.

    Before you call something outrageous or crazy, understand that there may be people who rely on that thing for survival and comfort.

    @Gl0weN, you're from Sweden, right? I'm sure you would understand. Sweden is kind of like Alaska, especially in the north. Mostly wilderness.

    Nope. Not efficient enough. Maybe for a single, stealthy shot, followed up by a Model or Mauser shot.

    Weapon was historically used to engage tanks at ranges to a max of a half mile. . .but that was with very little wind and only in extreme cases. Usual range for the anti tank rifles was 300-600 yards from the tank.
