    If anyone has ever watched a Wild West movie, it's the Sheriffs who go into shops or some sort, and ask around if they know if there's a culprit. Instead of a Rogue tracker, there should be a way to get information on the whereabouts of rogues, it could even cost money to do so. Like a NPC trader called "Information Broker" (this could even branch out to be a more complex idea, the information broker can do more than just give locations).

    Sheriffs get hardly any money. Forcing us to have to pay money in order to do our job, which won't always give us anything in return will make being a sheriff almost impossible without having to take a break and go mining every so often.

    #2 would be the only solution to balancing this issue in my opinion. It makes the job of a sheriff more difficult and more fun at the same time.

    Mining is always an option. A good, full inventory of ores can value over 20k.
