HG Eula Changes

    What's good?

    As you all know, we were blacklisted for several days by Mojang due to our failure to comply with the EULA [End User License Agreement]. Since then, purchasing kits has been disabled on the shop. Today Brawl happily brings to you the completely EULA compliant version of HG.

    Credit System

    You will now be able to purchase any kit that you don't already own from currency earned in-game.

    Earn Currency:
    - 30 credits per kill.
    - 3 per 5 minutes survived (applies for the first hour only) i.e. If I've survived for 25 minutes I'll have 15 credits earned.
    - 50 + (2 * participants) credits earned when you win.

    Starting amount: 7,500 credits

    With the credits that you earn, you can open the kit GUI and click 'Purchase Kits'. More popular/useful kits are worth more credits than some. A full list of the kit prices can be found here:

    EDIT: All kit cost values were multiplied by x6. We refunded the amount of credits everyone spent on kits on 6/22. So you will need to repurchase (or keep grinding) to unlock those ones again. Sorry! We won't be doing this again.


    Booster System

    We added a 2x credit booster for HG that can be purchased at http://shop.brawl.com/category/707072. Purchasing and applying this booster will give the entire server will earn 2x the amount of credits.

    I really like this system!
    The only issue I have (right now) is that I have already got like 2.2k over the course of an afternoon (and I bought Airdrop). Also, why do you get credits for kills in the pre-game arena?

    The prices of the kits needs to be increased by a lot. I bought 4 kits in about 6 games. Each kit should have its price increased by around 5 times, if not it's too OP

    Now that I see this system being in use, I can think of so many more ideas.

    Gifting of Kits: In the past, there has been so much confusion and rage over "Why can't I gift this to my friend", this was mainly because of the purchase, and how it dealt with real money. But now there should be a proper way to gift kits to other players, this should be available to everyone. There should of course be counter measures for people to not abuse the starting credits (gift them to an alt or something), in my opinion whenever you gift a kit to someone, there should be some sort of detection to see if your starting credits were being used, the kits that you buy with these credits should be considered "Starting Kits" and should not be giftable.

    Gifting of Credits: I think this should only be available to donors, they can gift credits to whomever you want, but again you can't gift your "Starting Credits" to anyone. Some sort of detection should be used to see this.

    Monthly Credits: Donors should have access to monthly credits, this means every month they get a certain amount of credits added to their account, each VIPs, MVPs, and Elites should all have different monthly credits.

    Boosters: Now this is something that I really want to talk about, if I can get a good discussion here, then I'm sure this same idea can be applied to CTF. Basically, I think that there should not be any global boosters or related in HG. The reason being is that let's say there's a double booster, many players will play, this way they can easily buy the kits they want by playing at certain times, kits are much more of a big deal than people think, some of them have incredible strengths, even though they do have weaknesses, some people are much better at one kit than another, they are all very unique and different from each other.

    With that being said, I think the kits should be earned and should be a solo-progress. But I only mentioned Global Boosters, I did not talk about donor boosters (boosters that come with your rank), and solo boosters (boosters that can be activated and be used by only yourself). I think that these sorts of boosters might be a better alternative. I know it might seem like they are the same exact things, but they really aren't. If you use a booster, then that means you can't use that booster again, and you'll run out of boosters. This provides more of a challenge to get certain kits and you don't have to rely on others to activate global credit boosters. There should be some sort of way to get personal boosters, you should start out with some, but maybe you could buy them on the store, or even get them with credits.

    There are also donor boosters that can be possible, this functions the same exact way that monthly credits function, they should be able to come every month, and the amount of boosters that come depends on what rank you are. Some boosters could have different multipliers as well.

    So in conclusion, I think that global boosters don't provide much of a challenge to get certain kits, and if lots of players just keep on getting global boosters, then it would defeat the purpose (why not cut the prices of kits in half then?), kits are very unique and diverse, having one kit could be the end of the game for someone in your game, it's not just a minor advantage. If another credit system was to be introduced, I would not decline on having a global booster for that, but for credit boosters, I don't think it should be an option.

    Credits seem to represent your time playing the game, even when it's double XP, you need to play in order to gain credits. I think buying cosmetics is a whole different matter than credits, credits = legit kits you can get an advantage over players, cosmetics = fun no advantage over players. So voting tokens shouldn't apply to credits in my opinion, or else it would turn into the Survival PvP "Voting for diamonds and gold" sort of deal when Survival you were supposed to earn all of that.

    A bit late, but we should be able to "press f to pay respects" someone that activates a booster. What I mean is that the person activating the booster should be able to receive some form of reward (like maybe credits) from being "thanked" by other players.
