    Regards,

    PART I: Minecraft:
This thread is assigned with the mission of explaining to you the steps when your minecraft account got hacked. I am reminding you that Brawl is in any case liable or responsible for your account's security.

    Note:
    • In every instance, remember that you are on the Internet so stay watchful. Do not give your passwords, even to a staff member. You do not know if this person is reliable enough and still, you do not personally know this latter. Same for your acquaintances (friends, family etc.) don't forget that you are responsible for your own account.
    • Do not use multiple times the same password, especially for well-known websites or social networks such as Facebook, Twitter etc.
    • Do not forget to note your passwords, on a physical support (not on your computer) in order not to, in case of hacks, lose everything.
    • Do not forget to use difficult passwords. Letters and numbers, capital or lowercase. Make sure it is more than 8 characters.
    • You may use this secured website to randomly generate passwords: http://passwordsgenerator.net/
    • Protect your computer by means of antivirus softwares of firewalls.
What do I have to do if my Minecraft account got hacked?
If you account got hacked, you need to follow 4 steps, according to the level of solemnity:
    1. Migrate your Minecraft.net account to a Mojang account. (this step does not work for everyone!)
    2. Change your password.
    3. Secure your account with secret questions that only you may answer.
    4. Contact Mojang in order to make your account change by themselves. (last resort).
1- Migrate your Minecraft.net account to Mojang:
This step is very useful, as further to a security issues of Minecraft.net (http://mojang.com/2012/07/houston-we-have-a-problem/), Mojang highly recommended to register their accounts. This concerns very old accounts, as new ones, are as soon as the game is bought, registered with Mojang.

To register your account, you have to click on the following link: https://account.mojang.com/
    Click on "Log in"

Input your Minecraft username and your password. Then, you will have to answer a couple of questions, but do not lie! You will receive an Email that confirms the migration.

    2- Change your password:
Nothing hard, once your account registered at Mojang's website, connect to this website via this address: https://account.mojang.com/login

Input your password and your Email address as asked, and click on "Log in".
    Go to your settings: https://account.mojang.com/me/settings
    Click on "Edit".

You can now change your password. It has to more than 6 characters and at least 8 characters, hard to guess, and that you don't use it on any other sites.

Finally, click on "Save", your password is now changed, and then you will also receive an Email which contains a link, click on this latter.

    3- Secure your account:
Lots of accounts are not secured. Making them secure consists of choosing three questions and answering them that only you know. This allows, in case of hacks, to prevent your account from being stolen or hacked.

    Go to your settings: https://account.mojang.com/me/settings
    Click on "Edit".

You now choose three different questions and you will have to answer them.

    4- Contact Mojang
If the last steps don't prevent your account from being hacked, this is the last step you can do, indeed radical but useful: change your account. Indeed, Mojang suggests you to get a new account back, but the other one will be deleted.

Go to this website but make sure you supply the transaction ID. You ought to read this: https://help.mojang.com/customer/portal/articles/361380

Then, write an Email (in English) to Mojang via this link: https://help.mojang.com/customer/portal/emails/new
