Looks like you have spend much time on this! And it looks very good! Great details (some of them can be better).

I actually don't agree with you at any point.
1. He have pictures with default Minecraft.
2. I don't really understand what you men... xD
3. How are they bad? Needs more details? Wrong blocks? No, don't think so...
4. That only sounds selfish and immature if you ask me. We need more War maps for example, and the maps with best chances is those with more modern look, like those houses.

Your builds are pretty good, and some landscaping are well-managed too, but there's one thing which I need an explanation.

So, please, say me that you saw the same picture as him, and show us some screenshots of other big modern builds, the forms, colors, and all the aspects only from your imagination.

I change my vote to +0, not more, because you could show us from where you had the idea (the pic), a completely imagined build is way, way better than a reproduction.

Most amazing builders use pictures on google as inspiration. Ask some of the best builders in minecraft and they will tell you that they sometimes reproduce pictures and make them into minecraft builds.

 

I'm not saying that it's bad to reproduce real life builds, it's a very good thing, it can teach you how to use a certain style, and inspire you for futur builds. But I was critiquing @Garrieth only because he doesn't say that he reproduced the building from the pic^^

 

I'd like to see it with default Minecraft (all of them), and I'd gladly give my opinion!
Your terraforming skills are amazing, your builds are amazing, and your medeival test is pretty darn nice.

I'd like to see organics though, like trees and whatnot.

I think you're a fantastic builder and to be honest I'm surprised that you've been met with so much resistance. The builds you've shown are incredibly varied and creative even amongst themselves, and they look great in default as well. You've taken what people like @icedmoca have said into account and appropriately fixed your application. Of course more building styles will mean that you're more likely to be accepted, but I believe you've shown enough to prove that you're a great builder.

Lack of knowledge of VoxelSniper is fine: it's easy to learn the important commands, and most of the time you're not going to be using it unless you're doing a giant terraforming job, for which you can use WorldEdit anyway.

One more hugely important thing that you've shown us is your ability to commit to a large build. Often you'll see people who make lots of small or medium-sized creations which look really nice, but then they'll tend to abandon big builds before they've finished. The fact that you've got the commitment to see something as large as your island through shows that you won't just leave a Brawl build project when you get bored. It's something I and many other great builders are guilty of, so I was impressed at your application.

He is wrong, a modern build can looks very good in default, generally using snow for the main block, and a minimalist style. Trust me, I already built some modern mansions which look good in default as well

 

Khoa probably understood it wrong, Rhoske probably said something like: Your builds look good because the shaders and resourcepack. Not: modern builds only look good with shaders and a resourcepack
