    Lots of players have been complaining about the overpowered handcuffs. Here's my solution.

    Players have to be standing still for 3 seconds to be handcuffed. If the target player is below half health/rogue/in safezone, the handcuff will be instant. Thoughts?

    OK, but how are sheriffs suppose to deal with fleeing suspects? I know we can shoot there horses if they're on them. But, what about foot chases? Lassos are too rare and only last one time.

    Here is an idea -

    Handcuffs only work if the "Sheriff" is standing still for 3 seconds. Players can be moving to be handcuffed but within reach it is fine. Players can't move while being handcuffed but they can still shoot, if the sheriff is shot or hurt, the handcuffing is canceled.

    Handcuffing doesn't work unless sheriff isn't in combat.
    Sheriffs need Prot II armor by default.

    Please do not implement this until the problems with the guns, diamond armor, and wildgrass inhaling are fixed.

    What do you mean by "players can be moving to be handcuffed but within reach is fine?" Everything else looks fair.

    If you start handcuffing a player and they are moving it stops them and continues to handcuff them.

    Handcuffs would then only work on AFKs.

    Oh yeah. Silly me. Why didn't I realize that in the first place. The criminals are never going to stop moving! Therefore, handcuffs will never work! Sorry for exclamations.

    OK, but there's still the problem with players running away. Sheriffs will be moving as well.

    They stop moving while being handcuffed
    maybe only one handed weapons work while handcuffed? and while being handcuffed they lose the item in their hand unless it is a sword.

    You said the handcuffs will only work if the sheriff has stood still for 3 seconds. How is that going to work when the chasee is constantly moving. Like I said, The sheriff will be constantly moving as well.

    Once you start handcuffing a player both parties can't move. The Sheriff can stop cuffing to start moving again of course.

    I don't know if I'm not understanding you or vice versa. The cuffs won't work while the sheriff is moving.

    Yeah so the sheriff is going to get rekt in those 3 seconds by the rest of the 7 team members in full d :grinning:

    Yea sorta a bad idea. Just make it where you can't handcuff in combat and I think we can all call it fair.

    AND you can't handcuff on horses, that is completely unfair.

    handcuffs are fine seeing as it´s the only thing that gives us a slither of a chance winning battles with 7man teams all geared up with full d and our underpowered guns. imo

    True, but if our underpowered guns get fixed and they do a lot more damage, handcuffing will be less needed. I only think that handcuffing in combat should be disabled.

    Funny how all the sheriffs voted no :V
    Anyway, the handcuffs now are basicly a 1 shot weapon. Solution: make the current sheriff guns a little bit stronger, and make the handcuffs 3 seconds.
