Idea WE Restrictions (again)

    I've already addressed this issue before, I'm gonna talk about it again.

    WE (for normal players) is slow. We also have restrictions for certain commands, so you can't just go afk and do it all at one time. Sometimes, it just hinders with the entire structure (like making spheres over a certain size, //sel could be used, but what about hollow spheres?). That's kinda very annoying :/, often leading to making everything by hand, or wasting a huge amount of time. Proposed solution? Just get rid of the restrictions. I don't see why we need both :v

    Okay now block restrictions. There are quite a few blocks that don't seem to cause lag, and yet, they're restricted. For example, coal ore. It's really annoying how it's restricted when one of the most important part of CTF maps is placing huge amounts of coal ore. I know there is a way to bypass it, but it also takes quite a bit of time, so just remove all the ore block restrictions... Please?

    .//copy a block of coal, //set #clipboard. Agreed about restrictions but that you can fix. Also, most creative servers don't even have world edit unless you spend time ranking up so I think we should be grateful :smile:

    you cant use //replace #clipboard, and why do you need to use that command if they can just fix it

    I'm wondering if a little //brush (1-4 blocks) create lags, the actualization are slow, and it clearly annoy the players when we need to terraform huge cliffs, big floating islands, etc... Worldedit is optimized to not create lags, and the server is pretty good. It stops the player if he want to build big and good terraformings

    Also, randomly generated block patterns can't be made with #clipboard unfortunately :c (especially with some grass).

    Worldedit has a pretty big potential to crash servers pretty easily without async (made that mistake a couple times, sorry <3), so I rather not have restrictions than not have async.

    Btw, is there a limit of blocks we can generate with one command? If some players just selects all the map and //set...

    1) it'd be really slow
    2) would crash build server maybe
    3) would stop after a while

    I agree.

    I also hate that if you select a region that's more than 500k, w.e will stop and won't let you w.e anymore. The only way to fix this is to relog which makes you lose your clipboard data.

    Big issue, on my latest ctf map I moved everything up so I could add island bits hanging down, it said done so I logged out, next day I log in and half of my map is gone because I Hough world dit had finished but it hadn't so I had to fix that half.

    I find the build size on cylinders too small. Also the coal ore tends to be quite useful and would be handy if it was allowed. :smile:
