The best anime. (Imo)

I personally am not a fan of Mecha style anime. I lean more towards Comedies...

 

Well there was one that recently ended it's first season with a possible 2nd season called "Netoge no Yome wa Onnanoko ja Nai to Omotta".

Another one is called "Jinsei" which is at the same time a LITTLE TINY BIT Ecchi and more towards comedy.

A third is more of a Romantic Comedy but it's an "iffy" for me, and it's called "Clannad". I'd only recommend it if you like to laugh, but cry later on. Again, an "iffy".

A fourth is a really interesting comedy callled "Boku wa Tomodachi ga Sukunai". You'll like it once you watch it more.

The last one FOR NOW I will tell is probably the most Ecchi-filled comedy that I've watched. It's called "B Gata H Kei". It's a bit strange but the stupidity in the show is funny to me.

 

My favorites are Sword Art Online, RWBY and Brotherhood.

SAO is about a bunch of teenagers playing an online game where you place a helmet on your head and sleep in the real world while your mind is inside the game. But suddenly, they find out there is no way out of the game and that if they die in the game, they die in real life. Only way to escape is to clear the game.

RWBY (pronounced "ruby") is a show set in a world where the settlements are in constant threat of a dangerous type of animal called the "Creatures of Grimm". Luckily, there are hunter academies that train huntsmen and huntresses that act as guardians against these creatures. The show follows four girls named Ruby, Weiss, Blake and Yang and their life at the academy, their struggle with the Grimm and crime syndicates, and of course, how they interact with the other students. I love this show because of creative weapons (like Ruby's scythe, which is also a gun) and amazing battle scenes. And there is actually a very deep plot, so you need to pay attention to details. This show is animated in the United States, so the English voiceover is the original one and the Japanese dub was released later.

Brotherhood is an anime prequel to Final Fantasy XV, a game that's being released in November. If you're not planning on playing this game, it's pointless to watch the anime, as it's made to familiarize the players with the main characters before the game is out.

Also, I would really recommend you to watch some of Hayao Miyazaki's animated movies. They are pieces of art and no anime nor western animated movie can stand against the early Studio Ghibli movies.

SAO is very mediocre tbh

 

Black butler 3 for english dub just came out recently, and besides shigatsu wa kimi no uso (your lie in april) and angel beats it is now my favorite anime season. I personally believe they actually did a better job on 3 than 2 or 1 even. It has the dark humor that is seen throughout all the black butler seasons, while adding an underlying feeling of both dread, hopelessness, and longing. It made me think about life afterwards, and that's what I appreciate in an anime.
