Story Sweetness.....a zombie tale

Prologue

World War II ended after US and Soviet soldiers linked up on Elbe Day, April 25, 1945. This contact between the Soviets, advancing from the East, and the Americans, advancing from the West, meant that the two powers had effectively cut Germany in two.

1x day before Germany was cut in half.

A Nazi scientist who was being led out of the city in the last convoy took with him a sample of Virus X. It was a small sample that the Nazi's had been working on in conjunction with their V-2 rocket program.

Their plan was to use the V-2 rockets to deliver a payload of Virus X to New York, London, and Moscow.

Virus X was a force multiplier. Everyone that died would become an infected carrier of the Zombie virus.

Hitler's plan was failing and he died before unleashing his last plan upon the world.......

The year 2021

The low interest rates increased the number of construction projects throughout Berlin.

Unbeknownst to the construction crew renovating the modest old house they were about to make a discovery that would change the world.

Hans had been on the job 1 day and he was in charge of clearing away rubble after the house had been knocked down.

While shifting through the rubble Hans noticed a brick had been carved out and inside the brick lay a well preserved vial.

Taking off his gloves to examine the brick and perhaps take the vial out Hans worked to remove the vial. The brick appeared to be hollowed out.

A few weeks ago a couple renovating their home discovered Nazi era gold. Hans hoped today would be his lucky day.

Using his fingers Hans was able to work the vial out. As he was just about the extract it the damn thing broke. He ended up cutting his hand on the thin glass.

He cursed out loud. This cut looked bad and he was going to need to get stitches.

An hour later....

The foreman had been looking for Hans. When he found him he looked very sick. Hans' face was pale and had lost the luster of his summer tan.

He asked Hans to go to the hospital and get his hand looked at. The last thing the foreman needed was Hans filling a workers compensation claim after 1x day of work.

2 Hours later....

Hans stumbled into the hospital. He could barely keep his eyes open. To many of the patients he looked like he was walking dead.

10 minutes later.....

The emergency team was alerted to revive a patient who had collapsed. Hans was going into shock. His body spasm-ed violently as the emergency first responders tried to revive him.

2 minutes later...

The attending physician declared Hans dead. He looked at his watch to determine the time.

Hans eyes lit up.....there was a dullness where his blue eyes had been. The physician looked at him in awe. He had just pronounced Hans dead.

Hans took a bite out of his forearm. The staff didn't know what to do. Hans had just legally died and been revived. Two nurses tried to pull Hans off the doctor. Hans immediately bit them as well.

45 minutes later...

GSG agents Skully @SkullcrusherLD and Sjuka @sjuka_legogubbar were alerted that patients at the hospital were biting each other and in some cases staff were killing patients.

Sjuka & Skully were armed with their G36 assault rifles and Glock 17's. Both veteran agents, they thought they had seen everything.

As they approached the hospital they could see mass panic.

Skully surveyed the parking lot. There were all about 3 people trying to bite others and oddly enough there were people lined up against the window trying to get out of the hospital. Most were covered in blood......or had vicious injuries.

They saw a homeless man trying to bite the neck of a nurse. Skully ran up and punched the man in the head. The homeless man pivoted and turned to bite Skully in the neck. Sjuka pulled his side arm and put 2 rounds in the homeless man's main torso. That didn't stop the man from sinking his teeth into the side of Sjuka's neck.

A shot hit the homeless man in the temple and he went down.

Sweetness @Cherrybae was a professional assassin. She had trained for the Olympic shooting events at a young age and was one of the deadliest shooters in the world. She had been visiting friends and saw the special agent get attacked in the hospital parking lot.

Without thinking her reflexes kicked in and she targeted the homeless biter man. With a slow calm breath she nailed him in the temple.

Skully was in shock his friend was bleeding out from the neck wound.

Sjuka died from the loss of blood. 20 seconds later he was alive and ripping off Skully's face.

Sweetness aimed and put Skully down and then she shot Sjuka.

Great she thought, two first responder GSG agents dead and a bunch of re-animated living dead.

"How am I going to handle this situation?" she thought to herself.

She started with removing armor, ammo, and weapons from the dead agents......
