    So after seeing some sad departures by people who really made this community what it is right now I just wanted to say a couple of thing , or atleast how I see them. So the main problem is how after people like @rocktomb34 , and others left people have been saying how War and Brawl are dying. So these people left, but these people tend to forget that there is also a new generation of players growing, people like @BlackD1amond , @Theo92160_ and me (oh ye and this scrub @Toki_12 ) and there's still loads of older players left , which I do not see quitting War anytime soon. And then there's the problem of not many new players joining War anymore, well I can't give an answer too sure on that one, but I believe that with the release of war 2.0 new players will come too.

    So this thread was just something I wanted to share my view on, idk if u guys agree or if I'm totally wrong here, but meh I just wanted to say what I thought about it (which is what the forums are for I thought). So yea, do share your opinion on the matter and if you agree with me or not and why. :wink:

    I agree! People just keep leaving but people keep joining and with the release of 2.0 new players will stay because of no op weapons xD

    As a player who is just now beginning to actually play war with the point of getting decent, I agree with this. Right now, it's kind of hard (but still doable) to get going because there are those people who have all the op guns, and your sitting their with the worst guns in the game trying to pull off a few kills just to level up, and War 2.0 will hopefully fix that.

    I have Written a start of a little something... About some problems why people are actually leaving, and not just saying war 2.0 will be the solution, eventually that will die too.

    Just let me get home and quote it ;-;

    Not trying to be depressing, trying to be realistic about the situation... oh and
    As we all already know War is slowly dying. Atleast I see that as a problem.


    And how does war die and more important; How do we get it active again?


    A reason is that even less players want to play because most people will agree if I say that war with 60 players is more fun than war with 10 players. So its a bad spiral going down, less players brings even less.

    The reason for this is almost everything listed down below.


    Gamemodes gets even more unbalanced than before, some gamemodes is unbalanced one way or another

    -Overall problems with the gamemodes

    “Map Glitch”, you play one bad map and then it comes again right after. Why would one want to play same map again if it’s not your favorite map. It may make some players quit. Simple solutions: Fix the randomizer so it can’t be the same map AND gamemode twice in a row.




    -Infect: Unbalanced maps eg; Ambush.

    With low player amouts it gets even more unfair.

    The zombie has a harder time getting kills

    The reward will not be as big for suiciding so that ain’t gonna happen.

    The zombie can max get 30 kills if there’s 10 humans (this should not be changed but it gives less reason to play).

    One old donnor can easily survive against 10 zombie in a good spot even though the player itself is not that good.

    Zombies will quit more often, today I saw two different rootzombies that left the game and never came back. And remember there was only ten people playing so that is 20% of us leaving for this small issue.

    Afking rootzombies. As I already mentioned, noone wants to suicide if theres not alot of gain in it. Noone will do it. Lower leveled players doesn’t suicide either, and they usually never do. So here we just got decent+ players that usually somewhat cares about their kdr who suicides sometimes. And they won’t with just ten people playing.






    Another thing that will be a consequence of this is that brawl earns less money, which should be why Brawl should care about this and not just let it be. War 2.0 may be a solution but this can happen after a while in War 2.0 too.
    Not really sure what I have written and what is completed/not xD But thats some of the ideas.

    Realism is good, but by being quote on quote ''depressing'' we might achieve the opposite of what we want. But well, you're not being depressing in my opnion, just valid points and things we need.

    Literally the only reason this has any merit is because you joined after Brawl started going downhill.

    There will never be an McBrawl like there used to be, there is just no interest or innovation with the servers. I've been waiting for War 2.0 for what must be 2 and a half years now. I'd like to think that Brawl could be back to where it was but I just can never see that really happening.

    Am I the only one who doesn't like to speculate and just wants to see black-on-white clear figures on financial aspects, marketing plans and player numbers?

    The thing is, we are saying war is dieing because the only people who still play on this server either already played on it, quit and came back or still play on it. There are pretty much no new players coming to brawl.

    What really frustrates me, this goes of topic of War but actually is an all-rounder, Brawl related. I was speaking to a moderator last night about this silly so called phrase "Brawl is dieing" Like he said, It will only die if we keep saying it is. Because if you are making people believe it's going to die it will happen. So please to the people out there don't make silly things up, in infuriates most people here. Just look at all the new people joining on the forums, it's hardly dieing come on peeps.

    Amen, that's exactly why I made the thread. I just think it won't die and just because war has less players it doen't mean hat it is.

    Older people are leaving, new people are taking their place. Although it sucks to see some awesome people like rock and evil leave, new players will take their place. Maybe not so much now, but when 2.0 is finally released, guns will be a lot more balanced and the game will be a lot more friendly for new players.

    You're entirely wrong about 2.0 as it will never happen. I've been through this false hype, don't let it drag you down like it did to me. Just accept defeat and move on.

    Since I resigned and evil left the player count on war has dropped a lot. I went onto brawl yesterday and the day before and there were 9 players on war. I know some players will blame that everyone has gone back to school, what is true. However, it never drops this low. I managed to keep war alive when I was staff, but now there is no EU mod for war now. I would too see someone apply for staff who is in the EU timezone, and get war back to the way it was. War relies heavily on a staff member there, and now there is none. I don't want to see something I put so much effort and determination into keeping alive die out just because I resigned. War was brawl's flagship gamemode, lets get it back to those days.

    If you havent seen the partnern of how war have died, the member drop usually happen around this time... Summer is always best and spring usually on second place. Last year was the same (but not as bad)

    Adding to all this new players are destroyed by old players thus not getting interested in War. :L
