Must be new, I avoided a punishment using this ult and I was muted from January to February or something. I just think that there are many variables to this policy and it could really screw people

I would still double check on that policy. Could we get some clarification? @Lord_Roke

I used my alt during my (false) ban and was not punished because I don't have 2 other real bans.

Yes please, last thing I want is to randomly get perm banned for saying normal stuff in caps(I don't do that), or having an argument, etc. I understand harassments and above

That moment when you have 19 forum warnings and you haven't gotten the final one yet

It's only "crazy" if you are unable to follow the rules. As Roke said the whole point of this protocol update was to get consistent rule violators (not people who are false banned and so forth) to fix their behavior or leave. If someone who is a constant rule breaker cannot do that then that's too bad. They should have dealt with their issues before racking up 41 violations in the first place.

8 months is actually pretty reasonable. A lot of people don't significantly change their behavior, when it comes to rules violations, for around a year or more. Naturally it wouldn't be fair to ban those guys if they come back after a very long break like that and aren't causing issues. But if someone is still being a problem for 8 straight months (which is more likely to happen than a year straight), or after an 8 month break, and has either reached 41 violations during that time-span or has even more seriously violated the rules less times (death threats) they deserve to get perm banned imo.

I don't know where that's coming from but from what I see day in and day out CTF'ers are no worse than players on any other server.

8 months is many many days, it seems like 3-6 months would be better because you would have to be a consistent rule breaker to do that

8 months is completely reasonable. If someone hasn't meaningfully changed their behavior so that they're not causing issues after all that time then they're pretty much asking for a ban. You say that some people are going to get screwed by these new rules but if that's the case then they should have fixed their behavior by now. This isn't about punishing people who get an occasional mute for some in game dispute (or being "racist" @BrandinoB ) while having a relatively good track record overall. This is about, as Roke said, dealing with consistent rule violators, or people who have proven that they cannot manage their behavior online so that the staff do not have to constantly deal with their drama.

The evidence will only be shown to the player who was punished for it.

Yes, you will banned if you violate the rules again after the 20th.

There are exceptions to which punishments count as stated in the OP.

I don't think a permanent ban is too extreme considering the huge amount of warnings and punishments these players got.

You do not get punished for alting a ban. You get banned for alting if one of your accounts has a permban which either requires 3 unappealed bans across your accounts or an extreme rule violation.

Maybe it is time to change being "rude and crude".

A ban is a ban, there is no difference to a ban for hacking.

Do requested bans/mutes count on this?

If you don't break any rules you're fine.
If you really cannot hold in your toxic behaviour, I suggest you try to work on it.
