    no. He is saying if you have 40+ punishments within the last 8 months. There is no point where the 8 months refresh, whatever the date is, it is 40+ punishments, from 8 (most recent) months prior.

    I like the idea, but I am just afraid the playercount will drop heavely. People like lostthederp and 19kss have many friends here on Brawl, and if they get banned their friends are more likely to leave too. Other than that, it is a pretty good system

    You start from 0 when the system starts to work so ur fine if you dont get 40 mutes in the future :>

    There's something like 10 people total who have 40 bans and mutes in the last 8 months, so not many people will be banned. Hopefully they do decide to stop being toxic in chat so no-one gets banned from this, though.
    Actually, you only get 1 more chance. Say if I had 45 mutes in the last 8 months, once this protocol is put in place on the 20th, just one more mute or ban would cause me to be permabanned.

    You do not start from 0. If you had 41 or more punishments before the 20th, you will be banned upon the next rule violation. If you had 40 or less punishments before the 20th, the punishment for your 41st rule violation will be a ban.

    As stated in the post, if you bought an unban for a ban for Continuous Rule Violations you can be banned for Continuous Rule Violations again after 10 more punishments.

    Why don't you just make the mutes longer, If you make mutes longer then the people will be like oh no i don't want muted for a long time. They keep going because you don't even mute them for that much time. do the same with death wish mute, Make it 12 hours for other mute reasons. You don't punish them for long enough, make the mute punishment longer.
