    My idea is that when you do /perm and click on one of the permed people, you can also select if they should be one of the authors. Only owners can set this perm, this would be very handy for /map on ctf!

    I like the idea! That will benefit to the players who aren't allowed to have an infinite number of maps. Someone who "give" you a map can't set you Owner. That will be more accurate in this case, if we can see who really built the map.

    It will benefit the maps ratings too (on kitBrawl, etc...), I suppose that it's going to be easier to find the author(s) ^.^

    Like Theo said, this would be helpful. Would the Author perm just be for show, or would it have Owner perms as well?

    Nice idea, it gives credit to people who may have not been owner.

    However we don't really have a coder atm, so it might be hard to implement.

    Just show, but doing /map on build and seeing the name of the map you got it from is pretty annoying ):

    Not a new idea, just something that got removed when Build moved over to Brawl. It used to be /author [name] might be worth re-adding though

    Applicable update to this post: Putty is willing to manually change the authors for maps that get into rotation.

    Idk if you've noticed some name changes, but I got most of them corrected last week when Putty implemented the voting screen pre-game. Anyone who does a rework and gets it into rotation will be able to get their author changed. I've asked about giving other staff members access to /setauthor, but I don't think we'll be able to get access.

    It's also nice to know who people stole maps from, so that's a thing.

    If we could swap out map author searches for map owner searches it would help with the constant name changing problem.

    I'd also like to see a next-page function added to /search interface
