warz needs more mods

No, I'm sure the mods have enough pain from tattle-tales on the servers.

 

warz does need more mods. I barely ever see a moderator on servers and I play 5+ hours a day.

 

It is difficult to find trustworthy moderators. If we accept to many staff members the chance of them abusing or breaking rules increases. Although you are right some Warz moderators are not as active as they should be.

 

I only saw 1 moderator in all the time I played warZ. I think there should be added some.

 

I've seen a few moderators in game, but they're not very active. We should get more mods, but the thing is, is that just about everyone who plays WarZ doesn't post on forums or they can't handle the position (Not directing this at any of you).

 

In order to become mod, you must demonstrate exceptional activity in the community before attempting to govern. In the event that you do, it is (I feel) Important to evaluate those whom feel they could offer something to the community, to see whether or not that they could make a difference. It isnt enough, however, to simply be in game. But the forums are the voice of the people as well as Teamspeak. You must present a welcoming face among all fronts before actually taking a position.

 

It's true, WarZ is more time consuming than war, and it is harder to hop servers. As people say, it is hard to find reliable mods, so you are faced with either having few decent ones or lots of abusive ones.

Atleast do a trial for some of the mods-to-be in order to better determine their effectiveness?

 

Follow Ole's concept of the topic. He knows what he is talking about. Bring a Moderator is a privilege here at MPS (McBrawl), and should not be taken lightly. We cannot just give this position if authority to anyone, as Lastangel55 mentioned:

 

I must disagree, I never really see many issues that can be dealt with by moderators only such as advertising. Even with a moderator online, there is nothing they can do about hackers accept from record them and report it, which all players can do anyway. So I must therefore disagree.

And to those saying you never see any staff on, personally, I try to be as active as I possibly can be on WarZ servers, I'm not sure about other members of staff but we do have lives ourselves. We cannot be expected to be on WarZ 24-7...

 

Having staff to answer questions. Or actually catch hackers or resolve issues of community members. Its a saftey issue

 

That is also a good point, however questions can be asked on the forums, most members of staff, WarZ or not, have a good deal of knowledge about WarZ and will be happy to answer questions. Also, every server has 'Mini-mods' who love to have there say.

If potential moderators, who tick all the criteria apply for the position, apply ; I am sure Putty will have no problem accepting them.

 

I've actually been in trouble for "Mini-modding" on TS3 before by $THOOK. However, I was confronted by several problems yesterday in fact, that I just couldn't do anything about. One person claimed how every time he/she logged on, everything he/she had was gone. And also further issues about having lost their donation. I told them, If I had the proper clearance then I'd look into it. I even responded with a few forum links. But i had to explain that I'm not staff and therefor couldn't do much. And the person apologized thinking I was and just left. Its a bit saddening to see the issues of the players and not being able to do much about it. Especially considering that the few staff members that are on, mainly play for themselves. And not for the sake of the community as their title would entail. That's just my view on it.

 

I would never criticise players like you for 'Mini-modding' due to the fact you are probably more effective than some of the current moderators.

The only WarZ mods I've seen on in my months of playing are @_MrWolfy and @Lastangel55. I've also seen 8vo once. War mods are considerably more active. I also have to agree with @GreenPeas_ and @ole20084, most regular players are more efficient in dealing with others than actual mods are. It truly is a sad thing, but it's what happens all the time.

 

even then when I first started whether or not I actually saw the avatar ,just knowing that there was a staff member on made me feel a whole lot safer. staff members generally exercise with a bit more maturity and helpfulness than the average player. and whether or not you need anything, knowing that there's someone online who can help really does enhance your experience
