I do hope you realize that if Donald Trump dies, you're going to have a political civil war where the great majority of the 59 million voters behind him declare a conspiracy and raise up their guns.

Don't f*cking wish death upon the one person who would make the best martyr against your cause. That's idiotic (and frankly undemocratic).

 

Facist, democratically elected president anyday, because politics allows for the people to voice their dissent and change things.

Why, would you rather have the kind of people who voted for Trump even angrier and (ironically) proven right about the corruptness of the system and about Hillary Clinton's violence? Because if Trump gets assassinated, I will back the people who rebel with a vengeance. The killing of a President because his political views oppose yours is the least democratic thing you can possibly wish for and I hope you realize it.

 

Where did I say I support Donald Trump? I dislike the guy quite a bit.

Can you do me a favour and make an argument that *doesn't* involve buzzwords?

 

USA is going down

 

It was going down either way. At least this way, America voted to go down with a bang, which is exactly what I expected from a country like America.

 

Either one had the capability of being corrupt, wrong, and just plain evil. I just dont think america took kindly to someone who was under federal investigation twice running for a position of more power. of course, thats speculation. either way, im content with the result so theres not much for me to say.

 

Even still. you dont find it unsettling that someone who commited a federal crime ran for president?

 

I feel like now that he's been elected, we just got to make the best out of it. If he was to be killed, that would lead to some big unrest and perhaps even a small civil war, considering how his followers nearly view him as some Messiah that will save them all.
But even though I live across the Atlantic, I'm scared, because since he seems to have Congress with him in his politics, he'll have power we shouldn't ever grant to such a person. So I give two possible outcomes:
1. Most of what he said during his campaign was to get attention and he's not really serious about many of his sayings, like the Mexico border wall. This will lead to a four-year radical right-wing reign, and most likely a new president after four years.
2. He's serious about everything, in which case we're pretty much screwed. If this turns out to be it, we'll have at least a minor war between whoever is the first to pick up the guns and the government, and hopefully a complete reform of the US election system once it's done.

Honestly, I'd rather want option 1 since that one doesn't lead to chaos, but a very bad form of order. But then again, as a Communist, I obviously have mostly polarized opinions with right-wing people, so this is only my perspective on all of this. One thing I agree with him on is that the US, along with every rich nation there is needs to stop relying on cheap wares from Asia and start producing some clothes themselves, or at least do something to stop all the child, unpaid and slave workers.

This probably turned out very off-topic, but yeah.

 

It is a federal crime to handle classified information in an an open way (I.e. using a private email server instead of the one given to her by people who understand cyber security)

Also, i would like to point out that there is no way to prove that trump did in fact sexually assault those women. however, there is proof to show that clinton helped a man out of jail, even though she knew he was a child molestor. keeping facts straight, the way trump handled his money allowed him to avoid paying taxes on it. the way he went about doing so was also not illegal. I have no doubt he said some racist things, but that can be countered with the knowledge that clinton has also said some controversial thing as well. I dont want to continue talking about what ifs and hateful remarks towards one party or another. what happened happened. its time to move on.

 

What other choice did we have?

 

So we can have Mike Pence? Yeah no thanks. He's really scary (homophobic and TPP supporter).

Then, again, why are you screaming about it? Clinton was up in the polls, up in every single rust belt state that Trump won (except Ohio), and had the endorsements and backing of virtually everyone in every major institution in the country (unions, 54 big city papers, the networks, the healthcare industry, and silicon valley) and she still lost. This race should have been won months ago. It was at several points. Clinton got trounced (electorally Trump won 306-232) in an election that would have been a cakewalk for Bernie and she has no one to blame but her rotten, message-less, condescending as hell campaign. There is no scapegoat here.

You might think differently if you had your job/livelihoods shipped overseas by Clinton/Bush/Obama or had family blown up in wars started and continued by Clinton/Bush/Obama (Iraq). Why do you think Trump won Michigan and Wisconsin? Why do you think he utterly crushed Clinton among veteran voters? Trump appeals to these people because even if he doesn't care, he gives the impression that he does and that he is, more importantly, their voice.

lol and you think progressive polices would have been carried on by the CLINTONS? Hahahahaha. Yeah sure there's no chance of us getting single payer or whatever now that we have a Republican White House, Congress, and (soon) Supreme Court but there wasn't much chance for the left anyway. Not after the Clintons and the DNC did everything possible to stop Bernie in the primary. Like @18kss said, what other choice did we have?

Clinton must not be much of a choice if she, an incredibly experienced candidate with surrogates for EVERYTHING, (not to mention a much better ground game than Trump in any of the swing states and polling with minorities/women) can't beat all that. Oh wait she isn't. Why? Because she's a narcissistic, militaristic, corporatist crook just like Trump.

Clinton has no one to blame but herself and her terrible campaign for this outcome.

 

I'm talking about a reasonable option, one that would actually do something to help the country...
