Brawl Junior Moderator Application​

Yes, this is under the survival catgory of applications, but the CTF prefix is no longer usable, probably due to the recent addition of more J-Mods. The thing is, I still feel that there needs to be more on the staff team when involving CTF. Some of the current CTF mods usually can't ref CTF matches aswell all the time, in which I feel feel that more possible refs need to be added on-top of that. With that said, I will be setting the poll so that I can see the voters. This will be my first time in doing so, but please feel free to vote your mind. Even if you are one of my friends or someone close to me, I request that you cote truthfully. I have no hard feelings toward anyone when it comes to voting.

With the new application format, it states that people can re-use information in applications. Also, cuddled told me to "do whatever you want".

My native language is English, as I was born in the United States. At the moment I am taking my third year of Spanish, and feel my knowledge of the language is decent.

What is your experience and knowledge of Brawl? -
I originally started play CTF on McPvP, although there were some points in time a very long while back that I would log on every now and then and play War (Not even sure how long ago that was). Anyhow I have been playing on brawl ever since Brawl bought CTF. I try to stay involved with the CTF community and contribute whenever I can.

What is your experience with moderating servers, if any? -
I was a advanced helper/moderator in a decently sized hub server about a year and a half ago, while mainly moderating the towny and KitPvP section of the server. I resigned after 9 months of actively being staff, and unfortunately the server shut down about 4 months ago.

During these 9 months I learned many commands that most other servers have, learnt how to spot and deal with hackers, interact with new players, and basically gave me experience on how to work with others as a team on builds, events, and more. I was also on the server build team at the time, but my spark, interest and overall creativeness for building as drastically fallen.

Overall I gained quite a bit of experience from my past staff position, and I feel that I gained a lot from this/puts me ahead of many applicants involving experience.

Why do you want to become a moderator on Brawl? -
There are quite a few reasons behind me applying again. My personal preference is to focus on community things like events and enjoyment/the overall well-being of the community.

I personally am a big idea maker, and try to make/refurbish/edit ideas that I believe will help the server and experience for the players and community. I like meeting new people and making new friends, in which I try and socialize with new players/help them out whenever time allows. I also can spot out and deal with hackers, rule breaks, etc.

-Events
I have hosted 2 sing offs in the past, and have planned a few more events. Sadly, not all of them were able to occur due to certain things like school and work, but I am always willing to assist others and create ideas involving events.

-Ideas
One of my favorite things to do is brainstorm and recreate ideas that I feel can benefit the the community. Most of my ideas usually involve CTF teams, with others focusing on assisting new players to try to give them a better experiencing on the server. The most recent project that I am currently working on is a CTF tournament. With a group of other players, we were able to design and create this tournament for the convenience of the CTF Teams community. I lead this group, and the tournament is starting up in January.

As stated earlier, I mainly want to help out with the community. I get along easily with new players and people, and would try to offer as much assistance, guidance, and overall be as helpful as possible to these players. Many of my ideas are aimed at the assistance of new players, as a good experience for them is quite important, as well as the rest of the community.

Another thing I would like to do is to set up and ref Official/Unofficial/Squad/Related matches. Currently the CTF teams aspect isn't in the best of condition at the moment, and I would honestly like to assist the community to the best of my ability by the actions I stated earlier, setting up matches on the match server, reffing matches, and recording matches for the enjoyment of the community.

On top of that, I would like to provide another source of punishing rule breakers (ie hackers, advertisers, and overall rule breakers). I would handle rule breakers with appropriate punishments based off of their actions. My ability to pin point and spot out hackers is quite well, and I have faith in my ability and judgement. I try to refrain from bias, unlike my past self.

Have you ever used a hacked client before? -
I have never used a hacked client before.

Have you ever been punished (banned, kicked, muted, etc) legitimately on a public Minecraft server? If so, why? -
Nope, my history is clean.


What do you consider your greatest strength? -
I consider one of my greatest strengths the ability to get along with others. This might not have been the case in the past, which I will explain in depth soon. I try to be a funny, relaxed person as much as possible, and I love cracking jokes and getting a long with others. I try to be chill when discussing things with other players that may disagree with me, and overall I try to be outgoing as possible. My creativity is something I also consider one of my greatest strengths, as I try to create, discuss, and host multiple events and ideas. I try to be as friendly as possible around new players, and I personally enjoy making new friends. I also openly admit to my mistakes, and am always open to new ideas and discussions.

What do you consider your greatest weakness? -
One of my greatest weaknesses is my past on McPvP. During my time there, I was pretty toxic and ignorant. I was rude to many players. Eventually, I took a break over the summer about 2 years ago, in which during that time I took time to think about my actions and to just think about life in general. Although I was highly medicated at the time of my aggression, I still have no excuse for acting that way in the past. Thankfully I have drastically improved, apologized for my ways, and befriended those who I have wronged in the past. Also, I get excited very easily but that just means I get loud pretty fast.

Which Brawl server(s) are you most active on? -
My most active server is currently CTF, where I try to play at least 1-2 hours a day on weekday, and usually about 5 hours on weekends. With upcoming exams, my future activity will be a bit lower in the next few weeks.

How many Brawl staff applications have you made in the past? -
This will be my third application. I definitely feel that this will be a special application when compared to the previous ones, as I have contributed more to the community, improved in maturity, and overall have improved.

What is the date of the last application you submitted? -
October Third, 2016.

Do you have TeamSpeak?
Yes. My TS activity isn't the greatest since CTF is a community that usually doesn't use it, but you can sometimes see me in the CTF channel with a few friends every now and then.

Anything else you would like to state? -

I am a mascot for my school. It's a lot of fun and this is just something I like to share every now and then (all the time).
