The message command

    Dear Brawl Community,
    I came up with an idea for the /msg, /m, and /r command. The command could be used to send a particular message to multiple players in the same time. It could be used like this:

    /msg (player),(player),(player) (message)

    The names will be separated with comma while the message will be written after the last player name without comma. The command can have a player limit too.

    This will prevent us from having to type the message all over again to other players separately and spamming.

    I think it's a good idea but like it's as easy to change the name of who you /msg, but your suggestion can prevent being kicked for spam

    Maybe a Dev could code a /msg plugin, which would also prevent staff in /poof from being tabbed with /msg, which would help catch more hackers.

    I see the point of the idea but I do have a large issue regarding the potential spam problem, perhaps limiting the amount of users that can be included in the message to like 5 or 6 players (for example), I dunno...

    - Don't tag developers in your ideas dude, they'll look at it either way don't worry :stuck_out_tongue:

    Maybe this could be a donor benefit as this would be abusbale and players would just end up spamming multiple players. On the other hand, could be helpful because you could inform multiple staff that there is a hacker. Maybe something like this.
    Member - 3 people
    VIP - 4 people
    MVP - 5 people
    Elite - 6 people

    Also maybe there could be a command that stops you from receiving group messages and normal messages.

    Yeah I agree with the donor benefit thing.
    Or you could just use the /report or /support command?

    Use /report for this - When a /report is filed, it will immediately give all online Staff Members a notification in chat, identical to how a /message would, just with the necessary info and much more noticeable.

    /report is a thing, and staff do watch reports, even though it seems like they don't.

    How about: YES. I was just going to suggest this. This needs to happen for people like me who don't have teamspeak, it would be really nice to have a group message.

    Can limit it to friends only, and even add /replyall or something. Seems fairly easy + straight-forward to do.

    I think having in-game chat rooms or something similar to chat rooms would be better. Or some type of global party system like what I originally planned for.

    Your idea gave me some inspiration. Like, there could be a "/groupchat create (name)" command to create group chats and "/groupchat add/invite (player)" to invite players to your group chat. I personally think that this is a longer process but maybe I can add it above.

    Thanks Charlie! First of all, it could be used on WW when you are teaming with multiple teams (as a bandit), on WarZ to talk to some group of people and on the other server it could be used to transfer an important message to a group of players.

    This idea is actually pretty good, however I do see a problem with it as the max amount of characters you can write in one message is 100 (included space) so if I was to msg 5 players at once then I would use a average of about 50 (16 is max letters in a name and half of that is 8 and +1 characters for each since the comma and "/m ") of those 100 characters just by typing in the names. So, if you want to type something that isn't quite short it might be a problem, but probably not a major problem as you can probably just do
    /msg [name],[name] randomtext
    and then
    /r and write your longer message.

    Just wanted to point that out, maybe this limit can be extended too, I don't know.
    However, I would like to see this implented anyways.

    Maybe limit it so you can only message players in your friendlist? I can't see an occasion I'd need to message multiple strangers at once.
