    Though I know much older threads have brought up the issue of /ignore, I still want to address it. The ignore command only allows them to not see your messages, which defeats the whole purpose of YOU ignoring them. The only reason you would /ignore someone was if they didn't want to see your chat messages. Personally, I would /ignore someone because of what they are saying in chat (flaming, spamming, harrassment), not because of messages they send directly to me. The only way to not see annoying chat messages in chat is to either turn off my chat, log off/move to a different, or have the person muted (if appropriate circumstance). I think /ignore should change so that each person can't see each other's general chat messages (and therefore pm's), or atleast so you couldn't see their messages. This would prevent a lot of flame wars and harrassment.

    I hear people always complaining that they can't /ignore Turmac, so I agree, people should be able to block the annoying people

    Chat is having heat situations more often than not, and it's pretty annoying for example on MC Build, building with a flooded chat. This idea could prevent that so it's a +1 from me.

    For some reason /ignore only works on players that are in your friend list. That's just retarded as I don't think you'd want to ignore your friends.
