Be kind, always. That is my advice to all players. If you're not kind, you will be dealt with adequately.

This is my response to the argument that players doesn't know that calling "stupid" or hackusating is not allowed, and that a public handbook would help to clarify this. Be kind and use common sense, and I can assure you nothing will happen.

Well I have used the phrase "fat head" multiple times and yesterday I said it. I got muted for 15 minutes when in the past I have been able to say it freely. I think you should make it so all of your mods and jmods follow the same rules and learn about what is mutable and what isn't. It's like having 2 people selling candy at a shop, 1 person sells it for £1 while the other sells it for £3, it doesn't work.

Also why the **** is hacksucating mutable even if you don't intend it as a joke. If it isn't a joke and you aren't hacking then you should be happy and proud that people think you hack. If it isn't a joke and you are hacking you will probably stop if you are sensible enough. If it is a joke then it's a joke...

If you use common sense you will know what is allowed and what is not allowed. Think about it, treat other players how you would like to be treated.

I don't really care if someone calls me Fathead, I was playing CTF and pearled above someone but it somehow hit their head. Please, you and @Gehenna_Beam need to not take stuff so seriously and lighten up, it's annoying. I remember when I was builder (haha XD demoted @Versions), i called someone a big noob and you immediately pmed me saying that it isn't appropriate behaviour for a staff member/builder.

Sure, you don't care. But I can assure you, if you don't know that "Fathead" is an offense then three extra lines of offense examples in the handbook will not help you at all.

My argument is about mods not following this protocol or whatever **** it is, if you make it so we can see this then players can tell mods what isn't worthy of a mute because I can guarantee a lot of mods don't follow this.

If staff members have to discuss about every mute, a working system, which is efficient, couldn't be possible. Don't worry, I can gurantee that mostly every mute is senseful. Calling somebody a "Fathead" is completely disrespectful, as Dasky already explained. Nothing to argue in that case.

I can tell you that, as I said above, we have 3 examples each of what is considered as Flame, as Spam, as Disrespect & Extreme Disrespect etc. It is not limited to these examples, staff are supposed to handle rule breakers accordingly depending on the situation.

Read the context though, it's clearly a joke. Why chatreport is **** because it takes whatever you say out of context and makes it look worse than it is.

I don't see why these protocols aren't public already. They explain what to do in certain circumstances and what players are liable for. Shows the rules applied in what's considered to be an "appropriate" way and if the community doesn't find them appropriate they can always make some noise and see what can be done about it. Makes sense to make them public to me

I understand why people would want it public but honestly as a staff member I never followed the protocol word for word. I made decisions based on the severity of a situation and never acted like a robot following a text. The protocol being made public would most likely just provoke players to harass staff if they don't do their job exactly as the protocol states. Just my view on it but interesting points there.

The argument is that there are lots of servers where calling someone a fathead (or way worse) are allowed and that if it's not allowed it should be clarified.

Not whether fathead can hurt someone's feelings

Okay I'm going to explain this for you once again.. Staff members handle situations accordingly & adequately, depending on the situation. If it clearly is a joke, and the other part take it as a joke, then I personally wouldn't mute you for that. If it wasn't a joke, if it was a clear offense, then I would warn this guy as that is the adequate thing to do in that situation.

You can't tell if something's a joke or sarcastic though text. It's better for you to be nice at all times and not vulgarly joke around with people.

How is vulgarly joking with people not being nice? If someone like @GoToBed made a death threat to me as a joke, he'd get a 7 day ban but wouldn't have done any harm to me. Making it clear about specifics, such as the fact that death threats even as jokes to friends aren't allowed, would avoid situations such as this to happen.

    Don't forget being demoted XD

But seriously I think if I saw these protocols it would help me manage my behaviour as I would know what is mutable and what isn't.

As I said, you wouldn't know what would be mutable. We simply can't write down all mutable offenses. We have 2 examples for Disrespect, of which one is: "Your mother is probably as fat as an elephant". You will have to use common sense in order to know what is mutable.

My advice remains. Be kind at all times and use common sense. You will reach far, whether you are on Minecraft or in real life.

If someone said that to me I'd think it's a joke, if you are offended by that, you must be really depressed.
