Bring Grapples Back!

I think you should be able to use grapples only 5 times or something. Could prevent spamming, but would keep the fun

 

Grapples ruined combat mechanics, people with lower ping could grapple faster.

Bring grapples back with like a 3-5 second cool down

 

this item turned from a tool, into a weapon. which is why it was removed. grapples should NOT come back, they ruined the game for many people. (specifically higher ping players)

 

I see this suggested over and over on the forums and I reply the same every time. Grapples shouldn't be enabled again unless they have a minimum height requirement to prevent the abuse of them

How about you give a reason instead of posting pointless messages on threads?
Also, I am a proponent for grapples, but only if their is a mechanic implemented that requires a player to wait 5 seconds between each grapple usage.

 

Fast grappling must be removed then. As Xion said, we discussed this before and came to the conclusion that grappling on the ground and speed grappling should be disabled. It must only be used to get on ( ex. ) a roof.

 

Or you could just add in a time limit so it makes it rly hard to fast grapple

 

Ok here's why. They were abusable beyond belief, they really add nothing to the game in terms of practical use with or without a cool down, as they would be used mainly for hose dumbass little pop out and kill someone. In terms of travel, they are useful, but currently favor the person who has lower ping, and the current coders probably don't know how to fix that. If they were added back, they should only work if you have no enemies on your compass, simply for traveling or logging out in a cool space. Other than that, there is no reason for adding them back, from what I understand the game is currently balanced and even.

 

Without grappling, building camping has gotten bad. Unless the opposing team has 5 people to ladder on different sides of the building, then there's no hope. Grapples allowed 1 person to get up onto the building without needing 5 people. I think bringing them back is such a good idea, but I do agree that limited use should be part of the resurrection. 5-10 uses per grapple or the cooldown between grapples, would bring the fast based rushing aspect back to the game.

 

Oh well, it's a silly game, having grapples or not having grapples shouldn't change too much, and the only reason I see people wanting to add them back is because they give an unfair advantage over the other people. Yes they are a tool, but they were never intended to give people a extremely unfair advantage simply because of ping. The way that warz runs right now basically only gives you an advantage because of your connection to the sever, and your fps. If you have decent fps or decent ping, you are at a decently level playing ground with the rest of the players. Adding grapples which purely reward people with good ping does little for the majority of the server, which is why I see no reason to add them back.
