Wazzup's plugin was ****ing awful.

I don't know who decided to put it into game to replace the solid OG plugin, but I would love to punch that person into face several times.

 

I'm a huge advocate of bringing this gamemode back. The general consensus was extremely positive, and I enjoyed playing it myself. I don't know why it was taken down in the first place. At the least, Brawl could do an fpsHG based event once in a while, if they were not committed to paying for a server slot full time.

 

I totally agree with you. I loved FpsHG, and half of the older war players say that they did too. Although it wasn't really popuar at the end, and the matches couldn't start below a certain amount of players, so it got abandoned.
But at least an event like that would be awesome, and I'm sure others who are not familiar with it would love it as well

 

fpsHG was one of the best things that happened after brawl started dying and kept it alive. Once it was taken down, I mostly lost hope. If this was brought back, I would be playing a lot more brawl and I'm very sure other players would too. Definitely bring this back.

 

My reasoning with the event would be that it keeps it fresh, and when the events roll around, a lot of players would play, get their fix, then go back to the server they reside on, on Brawl. I think they could do this with a lot of the other, older servers like Minestrike, and Skywars, if they were not too out of date and did not require any new coding.

I think this'd bring some of Brawl's YouTube popularity. People are more inclined to record this kind of stuff, who records a HG game anyway? xD

 

That's actually a really good point.

No other gamemodes are the kind that would attract viewers the way a HG-style mode does. All the other gamemodes are simply not as fast-paced and take time to truly enjoy (except maybe Party), whereas in fpsHG's case you can literally load up MC and play several games in very little time. It's the quickness of the gamemode that can boost Brawl's YT presence. I think the majority of media production on Brawl servers comes from the gun gamemodes, so adapting to create a better environment for YTers would definitely bring more players.
