I would like to possibly suggest adding a new gun, called the gatlin gun, it was the machine gun of the day xD. If you watch westerns you will occasionally see them so I think they would fit in with the server. I think you could maybe turn a boat or something where you place it and sit in it then right click and hold it down and maybe it shoots 2 bullets per second or something idk, just trying to kind of suggest it and I will let yall kind of work the details out. But I think it would be really cool, say you were gonna do a takeover on wild grass processing base then these could be set up and your crew could arm them, and they would be very expensive like probably 20k and yah. thanks for readin.

Recommended so many times. Machine guns would just change how the game is played way too drastically.

(That, and in the Wild West time period there were other machine guns, but they were ancient compared to what came during WW2 and moving into the Cold War eras)

If machine guns were added to wild west, no one would use rifles, shotguns, or pistols. Machine guns would easily overpower other guns and change the game significantly. Sorry -1

Actually a Gatling guns in the wild west era were kind of balanced I'd you think of it, when they were first introduced they were very heavily which would have a slowness effect, because this was before the development in firearms they had a revolving slow chamber which would have 6 rounds firing inaccurate lead balls which wouldn't effect the enemy but would give them lead poison with so many rounds going into them (maybe a wither effect being caused and have a new type of medications to pull out the bullets, like tweezers and have to use antiseptic and bandages).

To sum to up if you looked at it from this point of view it wouldn't really hurt to see development in it.

They mounted them on carts pulled by horses or in fixed positions...also if you call a gun firing at a rate of 300+ rounds per minute “fair" then I don't know what is.

That's what I mean, if the gun carries that many bullets there should be a slowness effect on how many bullets you carry, you wouldn't do good in combat if you couldn't move or jump. Because this was a new firearm it would overheat and was very inaccurate which is also a balance in this.

The Gatling gun in Western times was actually incredibly accurate. On the show Top Shot, the weapon was used to chop down telephone poles in a competition. The thing also rarely needs to cool down, as since it is being operated by one person, they are doing all the reloading and aiming and firing, which is extremely time consuming.

If, in such a case, you have a three man team operating the gun (one loading, one shooting, one aiming) you could, eventually, cause the gun to over heat. This would still take an immense amount of time, because the Gatling gun was designed to not overheat over an extended period of fire.

I'm talking about balance in-game not real life

But you're making references to the Western times, which were in real life, so you just contradicted yourself.

I made references to how the types of Gatling guns worked, then talked about balance.

Still contradicting yourself. If you want to talk about how Gatling guns work in-game, all you need to know is that you press right click, and retextured snowballs appear and shoot towards the target.

You don't need to aim for realism anyways lmao. Every player carries enough ammunition and pots everywhere to outfit a Marine MARSOC team. Plus, they're carrying a massive German anti-tank rifle, which if we were aiming for realism, wouldn't hold ten shots. That, added to all the other guns they're carrying...

    ...you get the idea.

Wild West needs more guns indeed, but I don't think the gatlin gun is a good idea.

You could easily make it in op, maybe half a heart per hit, make it inaccurate, maybe 30 or 40 dollars per bullet which would be very expensive leaving people to not buy it, or not use it very much, you could also make it to where you have to wait 5 seconds every 15 seconds for cooldown, slow the rate at which it shoots, and you could make it a stationary gun which you cannot just carry and shoot but must have it placed.

I dont think it quite fits the style of Wild West. The turret idea would probably be op when outnumbering.

The gun was actually used in the wild west, also in lots of old westerns.
