Not sure. Maybe putty reduced the price due to being removed soon.

I'm generally curious, how much or negatively will this effect Brawl in pure speculation? (Not really trying to jump on the bandwagon for a Realm joke or hating Brawl. Serious question.)

"You may not sell “lives” or reduced ban time for hard currency".
Then sell tokens or tickets that players can exchange for an unban. I'm sure there's underage gambling laws that arcade centers dodge by doing the same thing. EULA is guaranteed to ***** about it but it may follow their guidelines? Not sure. Just a rebellious thought.

Well if this would have happened earlier we'd have had less kids hacking, then whipping out mom's credit card to get unbanned. So less hackers.

But still, less money for Brawl

Disappointed in Mojang. All they are doing by enforcing these stringent policies is laying waste to the player base that supports them. Hopefully they will realize this eventually, and come to their senses. Until then we need to push through and keep coming up with good ways to generate revenue as a community.

I'd rather have hackers that spend money now instead of less hackers so that we can use their unban money to improve things like the anti-cheat to ban them.

They obviously don't want to kill Minecraft as a whole. I think their goal is to simplify their image by removing complicated things like the EULA and servers making money "illegally". Sounds super dumb for servers like Brawl, but I think from Mojang's POV they're just trying to make the game easier to manage, since their intended audience is young kids who want to play simple games. Financially, the types of servers with simple games that can hold their own without breaking the EULA are what indirectly makes Mojang the most $$. It sucks for us, but from a utilitarian standpoint, it's Mojang's best bet for making more money.

It sucks for servers, and I think the whole no in-game payed content thing is STUPID AF. Honestly, it should be allowed as long as players can also obtain it legit. If its ONLY obtained via donations, then its kinda B.S. However, I don't mind no Pay4Unban. If you did something wrong, you shouldn't be able to pay your way out of it. If you murder someone, do you just have to pay $20 and all a sudden get out? No.

Fun fact; The “Intellectual Property Enforcement" sect of Mojang doesn't see very intellectual.

let's start a petition. I just love how utterly retarded mojang is at how they are killing off their already dying community.

You can get bailed out of jail. Comparing hacking to killing someone is a little crazy if you ask me

    In 2015.

I've always remembered 20, but what do I know. I don't need to be looking at the unban fees. I'm not banned after all.

Not for everything. I know its not exactly a good comparison, but it still proves the point. Money doesn't solve all your problems, and part of the reason people hack and don't care is because they know they can just buy their way out. Again, I'm just as much against the the EULA enforcement as the next guy, and I think that the no in-game purchases thing is a load of crap as it is the only way servers and live, and without servers Minecraft is about as fun as ABCMouse. However, I agree with the no pay-to-get-unbanned thing. It's just my opinion, and you can disagree, but I feel like it makes bans more of a warning then a punishment, especially since half of the hackers here are 5 year olds with rich parents who will just let them spend bank on servers.

Where did you get this from? Out of nearly 1,500 hackers that I've banned, 17 of them have bought unbans - about 1%.

You can get bailed out for pretty much any minor offence, all of which are worse than hacking on minecraft

Same with me. Also, all the hackers I've banned have never made an appeal.

I don't think Mojang realizes what they're doing. They could be making money off this. I have, and I bet most of you have too, bought an alternate account to play on Brawl. Don't really know where they're coming from, considering someone who hacks was breaking our server rules (which I hope we're allowed to have) then joining the server again by paying money. That's not unfair. That doesn't give anyone any advantage.
