Chunks glitching

    Well, this glitch isn't extremely annoying, because a relog fixes it, but I thought to report it anyway.
    Sometimes, when you place a block, the air in the chunk the new block has been placed is replaced by this new block.

    Here I tried to place a quartz stair:

    As you can see on the screenshots, I'm on 1.11 Optifine.
    The blocks deletes themselves when you click on it or actualize it, which shows that these blocks are only client-side. Thought this only happens on Brawl, so the problem is not my game.

    This can occur multiples time per hour and be quite annoying, added to the frequent crashes on build, the building session is often interrupted.

    If this already happened to you, I'm taking any advice that you got to avoid this glitch.

    I have encountered this visual glitch myself several times and indeed it is quite annoying.

    This doesn't affect anyone else on your world, only you can see it, touch it, break it or walk on it (don't try, it might trigger the anticheat), as it is a visual glitch that only you get.
    Currently, the only ways to get rid of it are:
    • Relogging
    • Moving your world to another Build server

    This is a client-sided glitch so there's not much we can do about it. Just do what Nick said about relogging or switching servers and it should be fixed.

    I think it sometimes happens to me when I'm holding shift while placing stairs. I didn't know what was happening, so I'd be in the middle of building a roof or something intricate and have a panic attack because my work is flooded with stairs. I'm going to have to test it to see what is going on.

    I'm now playing on 1.9 Optifine. The glitch seems to have disapeared because it's been a week and I haven't encountered it yet.
    It looks like changing to 1.9 fixes it.
