oh my good lord. you continually dance around the deserted island question and its beginning to piss me off. i will make it VERY specific for you: a child is born on a deserted island whose father had left long before his/her and his mothers ship crashed. the mother died in childbirth and left hehind nothing to indicate anything about christianity. the boy is adopted by a weird jungle tribe that practices a tribal religion, and he lives his entire life not knowing ANYTHING about christianity. how is he supposed to be saved?

It's pretty sad that you had to be that specific because Gehenna looks for loopholes in the question.

First of all, wouldn't the islanders sacrifice the baby to their god or gods? Those uncontacted civilizations can be hostile. If not, then when he's older, he would want to know where he came from, as he would definitely stick out among the people. They would also tell him he is not actually one of them.
Also, the navy or something could come along, as they would be searching for the shipwreck.

Stop trying to meld the scenario, just listen to what he said.

How would the child ever find God/salvation and if they don't, how is it their fault?

It's not their fault. It is up to Christians to go around the world and spread the Gospel.

we get to frame the scenario because we're asking the question. This person has no idea about Jesus, how can he be saved?

    So what happends to him/her?

I gave you the out comes of what could happen.
He's a sinner, so goes to Hell.

    1. We were trying to create a scenario where someone would have no contact with the outside world. You were trying to change it.

    2. So he goes to hell and it's 100% out of his control. Doesn't that strike you a cruel?

    1. You asked how could he be saved. I gave you what could happen. Clearly, you're looking for a specific answer.

    2. We can't save everyone. In fact, most people will be going to Hell. Fortunately, we don't know who, so that's why we must witness to everyone, even the most hardhearted atheists.

    (13) Enter through the narrow gate; for the gate is wide and the way is broad that leads to destruction, and there are many who enter through it. (14) For the gate is small and the way is narrow that leads to life, and there are few who find it. - Matthew 7:13-14

    1. Wrong, the question I was asking was how someone could be saved without ever knowing about Christianity in their life. Therefore 'a boat can rescue him' is an invalid response. Capiche?

    2. Okay??? So he goes to hell and it's completely out of his control, how is that not cruel?

    1. OK.

    2. It's actually not, considering all sinners deserve Hell.

Think of it this way. We are like rabid dogs. You got to put the dog down.

why arent you put down then? if we are all rabid dogs, why is it fair than only people with access to a bible can get cured?

I'm saved by Jesus. He is the cure. Everyone can saved. Recognizing your sins and Jesus' saving grace is all it takes to enter Heaven. If people would stop defying God and taking pleasure in sin, we could lead everyone to salvation, but that's a complete fantasy.

It wouldn't be a fantasy if God broadcasted his voice down to all of us and proved his existence, oh wait I forgot that god works in mysterious ways!

I'm not entirely sure why He doesn't do that. I think that would interfere with our free will. It would probably count as making a decision for us. Yeah, He would be controlling our will to shift us towards Him, rather than us using our will to shift ourselves towards God.

He's not put down because he thinks he's better than other people because of his imaginary friend, Jesus.

    Bible: don't judge people
Gehenna: this kid, because he has never had any contact with Christianity, can therefore be likened to a rabid dog.

    wHAT

Gehenna: God is just, and fair, and merciful.
    God: lol hold my beer.
God: *sentences kid to eternal suffering because no one ever told the kid about Christianity*

I can do a lot of these.

So, using his big booming voice to tell us all he's real would be interfering with our free will.

But having some guys write all his teaching down in a book then force that book on the rest of the world and teach it to their kids as soon as they can read... that's not interfering with our free will?

    1. LOL
    2. Maybe Hitler wasn't so bad. Maybe he just worked in mysterious ways. I mean, he did kill less people than God.
