Sheriffs

Huh? Cuffing is the main action of a sheriff? Why should they be demoted for following the rules?

Also, it's not like "hey, you look like you could play as a good sheriff, here's the rank!"

 

Sherriffs Handbook states that cuffs are to be used first and that their goal is not to kill bandits but to attempt to cuff them. I know this can be frustrating at times because I have been on both sides of this equation. But I would say that 75% of the time when people are cuffed it is because they are afk or someone just isn't paying attention. If you are in an area that you know is an area you could be cuffed you should be 100% aware of your surroundings at all times especially when Sheriffs are online.

Do I think there are situations that you should not be able to cuff, yes definetly, but to say it should be demotable is going overboard considering they are following the Sheriff Handbook supplied by staff. Maybe there needs to be some rules regarding combat rules and using cuffs but I'm still not totally convinced of that either but that's something that could maybe use some feedback on from both sides, sheriff's and bandits.

I'd say 75% of the time, it's the sheriffs sneaking through an entrance and cuffing someone when they are close enough.

 

I'm speaking from personal experience of seeing people get cuffed so it's not a lie from my eyes I'm sure everyone sees different things. But I usually witness people being cuffed when they aren't paying attention or afk. Lol

One thing I was thinking about as well is I think we can be sometimes biased, myself included at times, when it comes to these situations because when your in the bandits shoes you hate being cuffed and then when your in the sheriffs shoes you get to the point when your outnumbered that your best friend turns into the cuffs because your just out numbered and it's your only chance of surviving. Both sides will always have a good debate. I meant nothing bad by my comments, there's just always going to be a view point on both sides when it comes to bandits and sheriff's because our jobs our against what we both want to do which is the purpose of it

 

If it's garbage then don't play it,

 

If you're 1v1ing a sheriff and you can't hit them for 30 seconds while they're coming at you, you deserve to be cuffed.If you don't like being cuffed, don't put yourself in the position to be cuffed easily. As TTT said above, cuffing is the main priority of a sheriff and you really can't get too mad at them for doing what they're supposed to do. Here are requirements for sheriff (roughly)

• Maturity
• Activity
• In game experience

If we added gun skill promoting people to sheriff would be very hard as a lot of skilled players are toxic or don't want sheriff. We can't just say (As TTT said) Hey, you'd be good for the job! And promote them. Sheriff has much larger issues than this and I'd personally rather see it removed before this would happen.
If you get play smart you can avoid cuffs and your problem is solved.
Lastly, If the game is GARBAGE IN YOUR OPINION, WHY DO YOU PLAY IT. -1

 

And when 1v1ing a sheriff you have a upper hand, sheriffs can't shoot first, you can easily get a good saw off or tg shot on them, then from there, easily killing them.

The only time cuffs are unfair is when on a horse. If people can melee sheriffs with starter gear than you should be able to shoot a sheriff to death.

I remember when I went to wg with sawed and no armor and killed two fulld afk players... Grahamcrack and acusations. And I believe a leather named DesertHaze or something.
