Fix the friending system ASAP.

    /unfriend absolutely doesn't work on one end of the spectrum. However, when the other person does it, it works since both people do it. That's basically recipe for "unfriend-for-fight" disaster, and betrayals.

    Situation: I team with a man for one day. The man decides to team with another group of people, so I unfriend him. It ABSOLUTELY DOES NOT, work. I shoot him and we are still friended, yet he unfriends me right after and just kills me instantly. Nothing I could do.

    Re-add the old friend system please.

    Old friend system was better, sometimes you actually need to betray, it's just part of the game...

    I agree, but I propose that the friend list doesn't open up that dumb GUI that the old /friend did.

    Every time I try to friend someone, we both have to re-log. It's really a mess when you accidentally shoot a teammate when you're both friended but couldn't re-log as you were fighting other people. I think it's time to go back to the old system.

    The unfairness of unfriending is very unnecessary, I agree.
    The reason that the friend system was changed in the first place was because of betrayals being so easy for the "unfriender". The problem was the surprise factor, so if we remove the surprise (maybe a delay before pvp between the two former friends is enabled?) then the old friend system would be simpler and more fair, while the betrayal issue is fixed as well.

    It could say in chat something like, "You have been unfriended, will take effect in 10 seconds" then it notifies you from 5-1 seconds.

    Agreed. Ideally the friend system can revert to the old way, with two slight changes. Perhaps 1.) the annoying GUI won't open up in the case of a crucial fight and 2.) instead of instantaneous unfriending, the person that has been unfriended would be notified as well as the person who unfriended, with a 5-10 second delay. These changes can help fix the annoying relogging necessity of the current friend system, all while revamping the old one.
