Idea Add VoxelSniper

Maybe there could be a way to toggle between World Edit and VoxelSniper, although I don't use VoxelSniper that much.

 

WE and VS are generally used together, so toggling wouldn't be the best idea^^

Hmm VS is probably gonna be laggier than WE, so if it does get implemented (which I hope it will in the future), maybe only allow trusted players to use the plugin, or have a vote system that will unlock VS, etc, etc.

 

I know friends that love VS but have to use it on private servers. Since everybody gets WE on Build, maybe VS could be a rank you had to apply for (like world edit in creative). I know many people don't like the idea of applying for ranks, but I think this would be good for something like VS.

 

You can't just "make it not lag" though. Plus, you can make lag machines with it really easy, if you know what you're doing. VS is much harder to restrict compared to WE

 

Voting to get access to a permission won't necessarily make the player trustworthy. I would like to see a new rank just for the Build server called "Trusted" and be displayed as a prefix on chat (T) and Trusted on the TAB list just like in Wild West.

People would gain this rank by applying but all they pretty much need to have is being a trusted player that will use the VS plugin not for fun but building without necessarily have to do it for the community (like Builders who have to build for CTF etc.)

 

Apparently there are compatibility issues with adding it, but I could be wrong. However, VS is harder to restrict and can easily lag the server out. Therefore, we would have to restrict it to Builder+, which is pointless as the private build server already has VS and admins can put maps on to build if really needed.

 

might aswell make it a ranked (VIP+) feature so brawl can get more money XDXXDDDD

I think it should be obtainable through a private application where if accepted, the player gains access to voxel. There wouldn't be a prefix to go with this or anything, as to avoid players applying just so they can feel elite. The application wouldn't need to be an extensive application, but more so just username and time with brawl. If the staff knows and trusts the player they get it, if not they don't, (past punishments could be spun into this as well).

IMO it's a waste of time to add since builder+ already sort of has it, and only a handful of non-builders would be able to acquire it.

 

Make a rank-up system that grants VS access. Something like Creative used to have would be fine. It would also encourage Build community to join the forums.

honestly the creative rank up system was stupid because players would rank up to feel superior, and it was based on skill rather than trust. A simple application to get access to a plugin would make more sense imo.

I've always been making maps with big mountains, valleys, and cave systems. This is definitely a +1!
You have to make sure that newbies get a thorough explanation on how to use it and not in an abusive way.
