Google Pixel XL, it's android. Android is way better for people who like hacking things or just writing software. wouldn't touch anything made by apple since majority of their products are gimmicks and I don't support capitalistic marketing

 

The software on the Pixel is top-notch, everything just feels buttery-smooth when using the general UI.
Of course, the camera can still compete with even the brand new phones like the iPhone X and stuff so that's a big +1.

Cons:
No water-proofing because of the headphone jack
The speaker is a single mono speaker on the bottom
Like, on the bottom of the phone, this is how it's set up:


So the single speaker thing is kind of annoying, but nothing major

Overall it is the kind of phone that can last a few years, even with the rapidly-changing phone market and seemingly "always improving" kind of phones being released rn.

 

Pixel 2. Because the iPhone X has a terrible home button placement :v. Also, pixel looks easier to use. I have an android and i'd say that they are better than iPhones

I have the Google Pixel 2 now, I love pretty much everything about it. No complaints. The squeeze for assistant is way more convenient and you find yourself using it more. The Now Playing feature is pretty awesome. Since I'm an editor/filmmaker as well the camera is phenomenal.

 

I currently am using the iPhone X. It's a very nice phone, but the problem is that it's crashing whenever I open snapchat. I like how it has a dual camera. The performance is great as of now. I personally, like iOS over andriod, but you're entitled to your own opinion and so am I.
