Team Cap - Research Results

    As you guys may know, I have done a bit of research about team caps. At the moment, I have asked 40 players and I will continue asking a lot of players about the team cap and the way it stands momentarily. I figured that I would post the results that I have now and then update them over time. If you want to change your vote, know what you voted for (in case you have forgotten), or simply vote at all, feel free to PM me and I'll do whatever you want (regarding this research of course).

    So here are my results so far:
    • Players who want no limit: 12 (30%)
    • Players who want 50: 1 (2,5%)
    • Players who want 15-25: 3 (7,5%)
    • Players who want 20: 1 (2,5%)
    • Players who want 16: 1 (2,5%)
    • Players who want 15: 4 (10%)
    • Players who want 12-15: 2 (5%)
    • Players who want 12: 2 (5%)
    • Players who want 8-12: 1 (2,5%)
    • Players who want 11: 1 (2,5%)
    • Players who want 10: 6 (15%)
    • Players who want 8: 3 (7,5%)
    • Players who want 7: 1 (2,5%)
    • Players who want 5: 1 (2,5%)
    • Players who want 2: 1 (2,5%)
    • Players who want an increase: 28 (70%)
    • Players who want a decrease: 6 (15%)
    • Players who want no change in amount: 6 (15%)
    • Payers in total: 40
    To make it a bit more understandable here's a circlediagram for the vote percentages:

    Players have also come up with creative solutions for the following problems:

    Problem: Players are bypassing team caps by making multiplie teams.
    Solution: Ban Allying.

    Problem: KOTH would be ruined by too big teams.
    Solution: Only the 8 players that have been in the team for the longest time will get a key.

    Problem: KOTH would be ruined by too big teams.
    Solution: Thread here.

    Problem: KOTH would be ruined by too big teams.
    Solution: The entire team gets one key only, given to the capper. The loot will be buffed like crazy obviously. It's up to the capper to split the loot. (Suggested by @MattM1PVP)

    Problem: Players are outnumbered way to easy.
    Solution: Remove team friendly fire.

    Problem: KOTH would be ruined by too big teams.
    Solution: The winning team gets only 5 keys, the capper and the owner (if (s)he's online) get's a 100% chance of getting a key. Buffed loot.
    Now, I won't release who voted for what because I don't want people to hate on people that don't agree with what they voted, but if you're a staff member and you want to see that I didn't make this up, PM me and I'll send you every player who voted and what they voted on.

    I would also be pleased if staff used this reseach to make changes in the team cap, because obviously the majority wants changes.

    no limit is stupid with how you get koth keys, a team like sub could just win koth, invite friends, players who want a key and alts and they'd all get a key, unless it's still 10 maximum players who get a key and the highest ranks in the team get the key or the owner chooses who gets a key manually, (any other suggestions) then i dont see a problem.

    First problem: Too tough to enforce. How do you draw the line between teaming and trucing? Remember this is raid, not kitpvp, where losing your stuff actually matters to people.

    Second problem: Doesn't really remove the outnumbering aspect. Look at HG. There is team friendly fire (aka you can hit your teammates), but you can still get destroyed in a 2v1.

    And with regards to the koth key problem, maybe the entire team gets one key only, given to the capper. The loot will be buffed like crazy obviously, but you get the point. It's up to the capper to split the loot

    Yeah i would like to see command owners can choose who are these 10 players getting the key.

    Trucing = not attacking eachother
    Teaming= Obvious 2v1ing
    Still, better than nothing. In HG you also most often don't have armor when you get 2v1ed which makes a huge diffrence.

    What if I join someone's team and team with him against someone else? This is not Kitpvp, outnumbering is part of the game mode, if a team decides to cross-team then it's up to them.

    If only it was this clear cut. What about a 2v2? Would that be trucing or teaming? Or if a solo is getting 3v1ed by you? Would it be teaming if someone sees the 3v1 and helps the solo?

    I have no clue, it wasn't I who suggested the idea and I don't support it, but I included it to the thread anyways because many players suggested it.

    tldr: people want no team cap over the rest of the options/increased team cap over decreased team cap.
