Idea Raid not Good, Bring back Survival PVP!

Not in the beginning. That was changed after some time

You would walk back into the spawn but you wouldn't get spawn protection

 

Raid itself would be a huge challenge to bring back. PvP in faction style ways has been declining in Minecraft for a while now. I know raid isn't factions but going out and collecting resources to raid or lose them to other players is sorta the same concept.

I like raid, I enjoyed making things, although I wasn't much on the pvp side, I couldn't help but feel targeted at times. I don't know if it is fixable at this point, but if you want more players then treat every person on the server like your friend so that more people will feel welcome.

I mean, that is why I played it myself in the first place, I was allowed in a team and made friends. Gave me a reason to come back. I know this isn't too helpful but hopefully, it brings you guys closer to figuring out what needs to be done.

 

in fact potpvp is only more popular because many youtubers Play it and thereby attract many Players. McTeams was not popular and successfull because of 1.6 or other ... it was just because many big youtubers used to play it.
Raid needs more advertisement not on the Internet but on YT. Otherwise noone will even notice that Raid/spvp even exists

No, that won't help. The main reasons for raid/spvp dying is because most people have lost interest in the game hence why most servers other than hypixel have significantly lower player counts than in the past years.

Like any YouTuber with a half decent sub count (like 100k+) is constantly getting spammed by random companies who want them to "play our new game!!!" and sh*t. Why? Because everyone knows that the no.1 way to reach an audience of morons who might be susceptible enough to play an LoL ripoff like Heroes of the Storm or whatever is by getting some 'large' YouTuber to stick that on a thumbnail and play it.

Nearly all of these advertisements are ignored entirely because the game, whatever it is, almost always sucks dick. MagikarpUsedFly, one of the larger League YouTubers (1 million subs) gets a ridiculous amount of spam from companies begging him to play their game. He even made a video about it:

The best game is where you play a chicken - an actual chicken - in a boxing tournament or something... and the worst is a fishing game where you do literally nothing for a solid half hour

I'm not saying that Raid is bad or as bad as a lot of the sh*t YouTubers get spammed with. How would I know? I don't play it. But noooooooone with a remotely big sub count is going to play it because any advert for raid is going to get buried in a heap of junk from some teenagers who coded a ripoff of something better and aren't getting the $$$ for it

There's nothing wrong with asking YouTubers to play your game, but chances are unless they were already into Raid style minecraft pvp or you know, don't automatically ignore 95% of the advertisements they get, you're not going to get anywhere. Thankfully some guy in Russia with 1.3 million subs likes Battle Royale so now its got this ridiculous number of players on at like 3 am PST. So that happened.

They all upload trailers from time to time
And they all have only 5-50k subs but thats enough to get 100players daily

And i bet if brawl would pay any yter 50$/€ they would upload any trailer

 

Neither am I. Magikarp was just an example. Was talking about any youtuber with 100k subs since those are the only people you're going to get a decent boost from.

Maybe that's possible with 50k subs but definitely not 5k. SpinTown, who has done a lot of videos for Brawl, other servers, has 5k subs and barely gets 50-100 views on most of his videos. Even a song he made in a collab (got featured media) only had 873 views.

 

Elite merged into skylands (stimpays server) and they were about to release a raid/teams server so I wouldn't be surprised if skylands do that soon.

 

Youtubers that upload trailers get a hefty amount of money to upload the trailer. They don't do it to try and help servers. I don't think they have the budget.

 

Agreed, but how would you plan to bring back the player base? It depends on what trends and unfortunately souppvp is not trending at the moment. ;/

 

@Danielkid50 Please stop gravedigging litterally every single post in the Raid forums section. Yesterday i had 12 Alerts just because of you commenting on threads noone has commented on since more than 3 months.
