Idea Builder's honor.

But again, I think it’s easy to add.

 

I would love to see that hapenning, however as said NickManEA, it would be really usefull only for build showcase and maybe ctf submitions so it might not be added.
Still +1, in a way it makes more sense than other staff honors (on the build forum at least).

It makes sense why wiki team wouldn't get an honor thing - we're just writing stuff for the wiki, not much skill required there. I get media teams for videos in like a video section to rate good editing skills, and builder's honor would be for builds we think are nice, so people who receive this honor would be like, wow a builder thinks my builds are good, etc.

But this has been suggested before in the bt slack, and it's been shot down for quite a valid reason, so I doubt this will be a thing ^^

Yeah but articulate English is just a set of rules, and anyone who is familiar with it can follow it with no difficulty. Media team is more subjective, and there is no set rule that you can base editing off of, it's good to receive feedback from someone who has the ability to be part of the media team. I doubt their contributions really matter in this aspect ^

I mean if adding a build honor without compensation for the other teams will cause a massive uproar, I think brawl is better off not adding it. We can still stick with using the winner rating after all.

Depends, it might be easier to implement if it's not just for a specific forum. It being the only non-general rating would seem quite random if it's harder to implement.

Well, in other forums, it could be considered more like a "important person" type rating as with elite mvp and vip honor.
However, I agree with what has been said earlier, recieving winner by a BT member is pretty much the same, just not recorded in the stats. It wouldn't be a bad addition, but there's no real need to implement it, with that I'm gonna say +0

 

What do you even mean :/ you can say the same thing for any other honor rating, and that’s not even relevant. No one is gonna rate an honor if it’s not a good post anyway.

True and you can measure someone’s building ability by their builder ratings which is the only reason I see fit for adding this. I don’t think having builder honor as an important person type of thing is a good idea because other teams will have problems with it and it’s not like we contribute in every aspect of the server, where donors and staff have a more direct impact and help with the server all around.

So if this were to be added I guess it should only be available in map submissions and the build forum.

Builder honor (as a wooden axe), for the MinecraftBuild forum as well as server maps submissions;

Wiki team honor (as a paper or a map), for the literature section;

Media team honor for the media section to rate quality content (could even help for the video of the month choice) would be something apart from likes.

Seems fair to me.

 

Yes, but it’s rather pointless. It won’t change anything if we add these.
