What I mean by this is I think the gap between the rich and the poor is too large. It feels like about 30-40% of the daily users on here are rich, have many sets of prot4, several warps, trackers, the works. I'm happy to call myself somewhere in this demographic, and i bet someone who is on this server an average amount of time could recognize anyone in this demographic, and would be surprised when an unnamed face shows up in spawn in protection 4. But the problem remains that at least 60-70% of the server is absolutely dirt poor. They either just sit at spawn all day, having fist fights outside yelling the occasional "food", or they do have a small base but they can't even go PvPing at the risk of losing their only iron set. Obviously there's people in the middle, not by any means rich but still holding their own, but I feel like that number is extremely small. What does this say about the server or the people who play it? Is the server to hard to start up on for a new player when everyone already has so much? Are too many players just too lazy to the point where they don't feel it's worth it to try on this server and would rather walk around with no armor whenever theyre on? Should the server provide clearer ways to help newer people so their can be more competition except for names you know? Discuss.

A gap between the rich and poor, the good and bad, is almost always large in competitive gamemodes. It doesn't help that Brawl has such a small community too

I don't play Raid, but that's some generalization

In my opinion, we can't really help the newer players that don't choose to go out on their own and build themselves up. We can only do so much, we can't carry everyone to becoming rich. We have implemented more and more things lately to try and help with this though - in-game chat tips, tutorial book, food spawner underneath spawn, staff help, etc. I'd like to seem some suggestions on more we can do to help the players starting out though.

We cant judge/change the way people play the game, all we can do is just accept them on how ever they choose to play.

I feel like most of the players in spawn, without armour, haven't played vanilla and doesn't know what to do. A lot of the new people who join expect there to be some kits or some good starting items.
My point is that most players at spawn isn't experienced enough with vanilla to go out and find diamonds and grind p4. I feel like the motivation to go out and do this isn't there in most players, and they mostly end up at spawn having fist fights.

Have a one time /base command that will teleport them Anywhere between 2k - 5k at Y: 130 and creates a very small generic base (bed, furnace, 1 potato, 1 carrot etc) and automatically sets a warp for them there. You could also have a tutorial book there and a couple signs explaining things /shrug

The map would then be littered around with small bases, I like the concept. We could make it work with a few changes here and there.

Yeah true, which is why I suggested them being in the sky. They definitely would accumulate though, but I'll try to think or a solution for it.

What if there was a 500 ranged area around the daily reset area, but this place would reset every week? Then it won't get as cluttered and would start noobs off somewhat well. Con's: this could just be a zone of constant raiding and slaughtering them like Tusken raiders (pro maybe?), and you would have to be very very clear that the base would reset in a week and they would need to move.

Decreasing tax shifts the supply curve to the right leading to a lower equilibrium price and higher demand which leads to more sales for Graff products and more money in graff's pocket and since inflation is low with the dwindling amount of gold miners graff will be able to continue saving with little to no need to invest his money to maintain his wealth. And later on due to the limited amount of gold available to mine the value of gold will eventually start to increase which brings with it deflation and graffs balance will begin to increase in value meaning he will continue to save.
Either way graff will be rich and everyone else will remain poor.

I agree with this a ton, other than:

    1) When a player logs on for the very first time, they spawn in that random base, and are given a set of iron everything, 32 steak and 32 wood
    2) Put this base on the surface as a small hut, with chest, bed and furnace, and the bed set as their spawn point
    3) Put this anywhere on the map at least 5k from spawn
    4) Book for instructions too

I think the noob turnover would be reduced quite a bit. The worst experience a player can have is to log into raid for the first time, make a dash out of spawn and immediately get killed by an OP Prot4 Elite player. Doing this would make it feel a lot more like survival, a mode we’re all familiar with.

    How I get rich:

    1) Mine, hunt and grind a decent base and set
    2) Tame a horse
    3) Run around the map, killing everything in sight and raiding every base I find
    4) Every time I hit level 30, enchant a piece and sell it
    5) Sell everything else
    6) Raid every water temple, and mine for gold and diamonds
    7) Villager trade for additional XP and sellable items

Food sells, Enchant sells, and occasionally random stuff sells.

It would be a lot harder to just have the base made when they log on, plus it might be a little confusing if they just spawn there. If it prompted them to use the command when they log on, and every time they log on until they use it, then I think it might be easier for them. Also, if they were on the surface, it could end up deleting certain terrain, which is why I wanted them in the sky. I do agree with you though, it's just the execution of it I worry about.

    ^ Econ 101 and 102

You have no idea how ‘rich’ inflation makes me. I flood the market and depress prices intentionally. I do buy from the market if necessary, and usually from myself, but when I leave the server for a month I see prices are much higher, and I am much, much richer.

Y=64 is generally pretty safe, worst case scenario you’ll end up over an ocean, or in a village or in the top chamber of a desert temple (or inside a mountain). Most of the interesting terrain is below this.

Also, if you spawn in a sky base how are you going to get down? (Noob spawns in skybase, walks to the edge, jumps, dies, and respawns in base). Worst case if they have 32 wood and spawn over a hole they should be able to make a bridge to the edge, or if they spawn in an ocean they can craft a boat.
