Speedy too fast or distances too little

    The speedy can arrive at poppy processor from shaniko in less than 30 seconds. Almost 3 times in around the 4 hours I've played since I've started playing again I have died in full gear to teams of speedy users that arrive in 30 seconds not allowing me to loot bodies or even /logout (ye ik im a cheap skate). I believe town to poppy is either 900 blocks or 1700 blocks but either way too fast for the best drug imo, there is going to be a lot of fighting and for a team of speedy players to arrive is 30 seconds you don't really have a chance to prepare, store loot/drugs, /logout, /team hq, or anything else. I know the speedy is 350k (i think) and takes a while to get but that isn't a lot of money if you think about it. I could get 350k within 24 hours if I wanted to (I just don't see the need to not spend it on team hq). 30 seconds for a day's worth of work is just not fair to new players, they can't defend themselves since they'll have to defend themselves against multiple hoards of people thirty seconds later and those people probably have full gear. My solution is increase distance from town - processor (idrc about field since less fights happen there). Now I know what you are thinking, "but anezz, wont newer players arrive too slow with their slow a$$ ponies?" Well considering it's 50 gold pp I think it's fair to make town - processor 2000 blocks. Anyways this isn't out of pure saltiness but mainly cuz I can't even defend my teammates without having 3 other people come after me in 30 seconds. I have no time to loot, store, or tell my teammates where to hide or where to attack from. Basically, I go rogue at poppy or shrooms, I'm fcked.

    The game has been unbalanced for months. Nothing is going to change, which is why everyone is quitting(except the people with 10+ good team numbers or sheriffs).

    Game is pretty balanced, only thing that needs to be changed right now is lasso and this -_-

    This seems to be a problem with players not being able to get away fast enough. It should be possible to run away after a fight and not be forced into another fight.

    The distances between everywhere were always pitifully long, especially if you were using a starter horse. That's not what needs to be changed - we need to change it so it's easier to get away from a fight after you've won it. A few suggestions for this:
    • Much faster horse call times when not in combat. (I.e, haven't been hit in the last 3 minutes by anyone who's still alive).
    • Rogue trackers only track to the location of the player when they hit/killed someone, so it's harder to track someone who is just trying to escape.
    • Maybe reduce the speed of the fastest horses.

    1. I don't understand how this could work. Would that not mean instant calling from towns? Or do you mean while inside combat?
    2. I don't understand this either. That is how it is right now, do you mean it only makes them rogue when they hit then after killing it gets rid of rogue? Another thing you could do with rogue is make it only trackable in a 2k block radius.
    3. Would make speedy not really worth it.

    Lets really quick put this into perspective:
    109.375 stacks of proc poppy for 350k, which is 11.66 hours of game play. For a white name starter, you have to spend half a day (lets say you don't die) to get a speedy. I agree this seems trouble some, but it's for a reason; being that it's a "end game" type of item, and is meant for more experienced players who've put time into the game. It's motivation to play the game, or buy a rank. Emphasis on the rank part....
    Moving on to your other point.
    During fights I can say that the opposite team won't come back in 30 seconds regardless of the horse they have. In fact, I guarantee it. More often then not, players have to re-gear, wait for teammates etc. This gives you plenty of time to loot the bodies and possibly even leave. Sure, you cannot store the loot right away, but usually rank members don't store until there is a safe enough time for their horse to be called and not die. imo, speedys aren't OP, especially once you've earned enough to buy one.


    I'll give you the benefit of the doubt on coco tho, its wayyyy too far.

    There there are multiple monopoly teams now. And yes doing wg or poppy I can get speedy in a day. Honestly it is too op when you can't even /logout before someone gets there.

    im quitting, the game is completely unbalanced, and everyone likes to flame lol. And poppy base is messed up

    most people can't get speedy in a day, they have to be friends with the "good players". :v in fact, most white names only rob conductors. everytime i log on, i never see a white name that is not a friend of "good players" do drugs.

    It was re modeled due to the community wanting a change
    Speedies were never mean't to be obtained in 1 day of gameplay.

    Currently standing, there are only 2 monopoly teams and one is inactive. I'd recommend being more alert while processing drugs or go to less high traffic drug processors.

    However, I agree the monopoly teams are annoying for KOSing everyone (this includes myself) because it takes away new players opportunites to get money. The only way I seeing this being fixed is for the teams to agree avoiding excessive KOSing, especially for new players. This could also help ww's player base because more new players would be inspired by having a bit of money in their pocket.

    I've seen countless people quit ww because can't process and loose money, and if there is any way to stop this, I think it would benefit the player base in the long run.

    Nerf the speedy? No, definitely not.
    What if, during some hours in a day, not all day, it would be peace, no attack, and once you leave the poppy proc, you get invisibility to prevent getting killed the moment you leave.
