Say what you want. You may say homosexuality being a sin is hateful. Sometimes violence is the only option to take out violent people and civilizations. The sexist part I don't get. What is sexist in the Bible? Women are placed at the same level as men in the Bible. You may point out to Eve being cursed with child labor pains for being the one who initially listened to the Devil, but that's it.

"Wives, submit yourselves unto your own husbands, as it is fit in the Lord."

"I do not permit a woman to teach or have authority over a man; she must be quiet."

You should read the whole passage. Ephesians 5:22-33
    (22) Wives, be subject to your own husbands, as to the Lord. (23) For the husband is the head of the wife, as Christ also is the head of the church, He Himself being the Savior of the body. (24) But as the church is subject to Christ, so also the wives ought to be to their husbands in everything.
    (25) Husbands, love your wives, just as Christ also loved the church and gave Himself up for her, (26) so that He might sanctify her, having cleansed her by the washing of water with the word, (27) that He might present to Himself the church in all her glory, having no spot or wrinkle or any such thing; but that she would be holy and blameless. (28) So husbands ought also to love their own wives as their own bodies. He who loves his own wife loves himself; (29) for no one ever hated his own flesh, but nourishes and cherishes it, just as Christ also does the church, (30) because we are members of His body. (31) For this reason a man shall leave his father and mother and shall be joined to his wife, and the two shall become one flesh. (32) This mystery is great; but I am speaking with reference to Christ and the church. (33) Nevertheless, each individual among you also is to love his own wife even as himself, and the wife must see to it that she respects her husband.

Next one, 1 Timothy 2:9-15, is really difficult. The first part of the passage is easy enough to understand. It's not about what's on the the outside. What matters is what's on the inside. Though, women should definitely not wear revealing outfits. The next part is the kicker and the one you are pointing out.
I have never seen a woman in any church in a teaching position over men, i.e. woman teaching a primarily male class, and vice versa, except in youth and children classes. I have never seen deaconesses and female pastors, though last week at church, we had a guess speaker, a female pastor, for WMU (Woman's Missionary Union) day. We welcomed her warmly and thanked her for her sermon.
This is one of those Bible passages that probably requires deep pondering on what it means. Besides, in the Old Testament in Judges, there is a prophetess named Deborah. Yes, a female prophet. She was very commanding, but it seems it was the Lord who was commanding through her like a messenger.
Quote, “Behold, the Lord, the God of Israel, has commanded, ‘Go and march to Mount Tabor, and take with you ten thousand men from the sons of Naphtali and from the sons of Zebulun. I will draw out to you Sisera, the commander of Jabin’s army, with his chariots and his many troops to the river Kishon, and I will give him into your hand.’”
So, I guess the condition is if it's the Lord teaching through you it's just fine. So, women could actually have any position in church.
Despite this one passage, women are definitely uplifted far more in the Christianity than in, say, Islam.

How about keep the Tide out, because it'll poison you.

OK, seriously, the tide is controlled by the gravitation pull of the Moon.

Were you planning on responding to me or just pretend that I don't exist? You have made many posts since mine and responded to every person BUT my post. I am quite anxious to see what you have to say, particularly about your use of wikipedia as an apparently reliable source.
I am also still wondering how whether people prefer fantasy worlds over reality is related to the topic in the article given.
I would love to see your response, @Gehenna_Beam

@Gehenna_Beam I love the statistics. Did you know 49.34% of all statistics are made up on the spot or fake?

    ^^^^^^^^^^^^^^^^^^^^^^^^^^^

@Gehenna_Beam Times change. Ideas change. Time to change yours to what reality really is. The bible is old af. It has almost no relevance today.

OK, sorry. I used Wikipedia, because it's generally the first result when searching. I've never seen it be inaccurate before. I've had college teachers permit the use of Wikipedia. They've said it's better than nothing.
A study says Wikipedia is about 80% accurate. (https://www.livescience.com/7946-wikipedia-accurate.html)
If that one is too old, here's a more recent one that says it's 99.5% accurate. (https://www.zmescience.com/science/study-wikipedia-25092014/)
Religion and the supernatural is often considered fantasy. I presented it to show the vast majority of the world believes in some sort of supernatural forces.

I Google "statistics are made up". Throughout the first page, I get random percentages of statistics being made up. That sure does make this assumption reliable. "Statistics show that (random)% of statistics are made up."

Why would I change my logic and morals to something that's already been done before? Nothing's new. History repeats itself. Morality doesn't evolve, but rather goes around in circles.
Like a dog that returns to its vomit, so does mankind return to its follies.

What did anything I say have to do with a dog vomiting its last meal? WTF is wrong with you :v. I was making a point about how BS your "statistics" are. ffs... You get less intelligent every day. Making 2 threads regarding religion... on a minecraft forum... Its people like you who cause progress in the world to slow due to pure stupidity.

How do you know these sources are true? I find many sources contradicting themselves. Facts change. So should you :v

    1. @Epicfurno how do you know that all your statistics and sources are completely true and @Gehenna_Beam's are completely false?
    2. So by that logic should Muslims stop believing the Quran because it was written a very long time ago?

I don't know. Maybe I'm just completely clueless, but the articles you presented seem just as educated and accurate as the ones I presented.

OK, present your sources that say atheism is the dominant belief or something. I think this might be true. Something tells me most people just don't care. They may say "I'm a Christian" or "I'm Jewish", but deep down, they don't believe in anything.
It's one thing to say you're a Christian, but it's another to truly live by the word.

By the way, I find it fascinating that poor countries tend to be more religious than rich countries. Look at the difference between European countries and Asian countries.
I understand now what Jesus meant when He said, "It's easier for a camel to go through the eye of a needle than for a rich person to enter the kingdom of God."
The first world really loves its wealth, prosperity, security, and welfare. This is exactly what God condemned. "The love of money is the root of all evil." This is why Europe is so secular and carnal.
The Devil will make your life a success just to get you away from God.
