Would you consider yourself experienced with WorldEdit? Why? -
Yes, I would, I first learnt from tutorials by birdGirl and Xelasi, then I explored a lot of not so used commands, like //g, //sel, //deform. Now I use it all the time, I know this is often said in application, but here it is particularly true; I build a lot of structures with angles and curves, which can hardly be done by hand, and it's almost impossible to make large terrain by hand too.

Would you consider yourself experienced with VoxelSniper? Why? -
No, I'm unfortunately not experienced with VoxelSniper. I have basic knowledge, but I never used it.

How active would you be on Brawl's Build Team? (A couple hours per week, one hour per day, etc.) -
I can be active up to 3-4 hours a day if requested, but I generally connect everyday, and usually stay somewhere between half an hour and two hours.
I also have 15 weeks of holidays per year, which gives me a lot of free time that I can (and usually do) dedicate to build on brawl.

Why do you want to join Brawl's Build Team? -
First obviously I love building, so I would be very pleased to put my work to an use.
I only play Minecraft on brawl and I would love to help the server by making enjoyable environnements and nice maps for gamemodes.
It's also a chance for me to participate more in the build community, because Builders are bringing ideas for contests, voting for the winner etc...
Building alone can be quite exhausting, I built a bit as a team (with Theo92160_), and I really enjoyed it.
I have some friends and a lot of people I admire in the build team and I would love to realise projects with them.
I also have the ability to make timelapses and simple renders which could be an useful addition to a build team.

What would you consider your greatest strength with building? (Detailing, Terraforming, Houses, Trees, Statues, etc.) -
Large projects, structures and wide interiors, angles and curves, proportions in case there's a model to follow.

What would you consider your greatest weakness with building? (Detailing, Terraforming, Houses, Trees, Statues, etc.) -
Organics, and maybe statues, I made the statues on the "Arc de Triomphe de Paris", And I can't really tell if they look okay-ish or absolutely terrible.
Scale might also be a problem for me, building things in small scale isn't really my speciality, thought I've tried to build normal scale lately (see the Eiffel Tower, Orthodox Church, modern house and medieval house).
I often build things large to have space for details and so the curves and angles doesn't look horrible.

List any previous experience you have with building -
Well, this might be a bit too much, but here's my "building history":
I started Minecraft on september 2011, but I really got interested into building arround 1.5.
I first played on the Creative server, got WE1 on March 2016 and learnt how to use World Edit.
Three weeks, later, I applied for WEPro and got accepted early April.
After getting WEPro, I focused on a replica of Notre Dame de Paris, a build I started before even getting WE1.
It was a really ambitious build for me because I wasn't really good (see my WE1 and WEPro app).
But Creative then closed, and I couldn't work on my cathedral until march 2017, where I recovered it on McBuild and finished it on may 2017.
I started a new building on may 2017, a basilica, bigger than Notre Dame not finished yet.
On june 2017, I got asked to build an Eiffel Tower for a CTF map on the theme of Paris, I built it in ~4 hours.
Around september, I started another build: a Khmer temple in the forest, not finished yet.
The objective was to build an environnement arround a structure, to exercise building organics and terraforming, but my map got constantly deleted (3 times already) because of a known bug with world edit and unloaded maps.
On October 2017, I started building a replica of the "Arc de Triomphe de Paris", with Theo92160_.
The build got finished in 4 days, my first experience working in a team.
Jannuary 2018, I made an Orthodox curch and a modern house to try new styles and build normal scale, I won BOTM jannuary 2018 with this build.
Finally, on march 2018, I made a timelapse of xxMineSheepxx's map phoenix.

tl;dr: Got WEPro on creative, builds listed in the pictures section below, made a timelapse for xxMineSheepxx, BOTM jannuary 2018, experience in teams: built with Theo92160_.

Sorry, no nuns allowed on this most Christian of Christian Minecraft servers.

Just kidding! Brawl would be losing a lot without your buildings!

You put too much miniscule detail into your large scale builds. It makes it really hard to look at. When you increase the size of a build, you don't want to have a bunch of slabs and stairs in tiny details as you would with a smaller build. What I see is you're good at shaping, but you lack the strength of putting stuff on the shapes that you form, if that makes sense. upload_2018-3-22_12-47-45.png
What I see with this is an amazing shape, you have it all good with the shaping, and I love the floor, but there's too many slabs and stairs and cobblestone walls. Those don't really make it look good. It looks all rough and it doesn't look smooth whatsoever.

I can't see the builds for some reason because Imgur doesn't work for me, I was only able to see the modern house and some of the other builds. I wanted to tell you to work on your "detailing" and not just putting a bunch of stairs, slabs, fences, and cobblestone walls all over a plain wall and call that "detailing." A finished piece of wall itself should already be detailed. There is no process called "detailing." The build should just form over itself, if that makes sense.

I'm gonna give you a +0 because ehh i'm not too nice and i don't believe you're ready for the build team

It's actually meant to look that way, putting lots of stairs and slabs makes the build look heavier and that's what I was looking for. If you look at picture of real life khmer temples, they don't have any wall that's dull or smooth.

On minecraft screenshots, since there's no shadows without shaders, yes, it doesn't look good. But I was planning to make a render of the entire maps, in which the temple will look something like this:

And, as I mentionned multiple times on this application, it is not finished. I'm planning to make it look destroyed and in ruins. The patterns won't anymore be regular and there will be leaves and vines over it, also, i will change the cobblestone to a set of other blocks such as mossie cobble, stone brick and such.

Well, I only used that on one build and didn't said anything about it exept that it wasn't finished.

The walls will be partially destroyed and covered with vegetation, they aren't in their final state. And I think there is a process called detailling, for instance, the parts over the windows and the entrance on this build are details added afterward, it would look bad without it:

Although I agree with you that a build should mainly be shapes and structures, not just random block on flat surfaces

Thank for your honest feedback, but the only build you talked about wasn't finished and critical modification were planned on it.

I've worked on a part of the temple 30 minutes, I rushed it, but here's a preview of how it could look like:

Most of that was simply because Imgur isn't working for me, I only critiqued what had to be critiqued and what I had access to

There's a lot to improve but the things we do in the Build Team don't require much skill compared to actual professional building, so +1.

Can you make some suburban houses?
I think you can improve (mostly in landscaping and houses) and that its best if you are put on trial.

Thank you all for the feedback

That's alright, I will try to upload files to brawl next time then.

I'm going to try to build suburban, I will post the result when finished. Thank you for the advice

Here's one, built on 325555. I took a simple shape to not overdo it

imo, loic doesn't need trial, he's already shown a large range of styles and does well in a lot of them (his recent landscaping is quite realistic, veri nais), but he does the best especially in modern, realistic structures, which is also incredibly important considering what the themes of most Brawl maps are. Although his suburban may need a little bit of tweaking, it shouldn't be hard considering there's a lot of good reference in the bt server that are not too hard to learn from.

With him, maybe Brawl can have some cool large scale maps? Most of us are best at small scale so it'd be cool to see some variety ^^

Very good at making scale models of real buildings, talented at building, able to build different styles, highly active, mature and known for a long time. What else could a proper Builder include?

    +1, Best of luck!
