And you are wrong, like I said at the bottom of my other response the staff team has improved significantly since this thread was created.

You aren’t closer too the truth, I don’t know why you guys are still getting the picture that there is a huge flaw within the staff team, we have demoted inactive and promoted the worthy. Not really a bad start imo.

 

And that is really great that things are being fixed in the staff team! The key is to maintain this and to prevent another lapse from occurring, however, I know you personally are not responsible for managing this.

Believe it or not, a lot of staff do care. I know I did, I did for months. I still do, as to why I havent fully disappeared off this server. I know more than 5 people who gives all their free time to try and better the server for everyone.

 

The MOD hack test is happening more regularly....that wasn’t a lie? And you have every right to trust Jay more then you trust me, he has put lots of effort into brawl. But just because you trust him more then you trust me doesn’t give you the right to over exaggerate and attempt to prove a false claim.

I hate to be petty but regularly means “with a constant or a definite pattern.” That is what I originally intended, when I was promoted to JMOD a little over a year ago there was not a hack test for over 5 months. Now they happen every 1.5 - 2 months.
Getting back on topic again, our role as a staff member is to help moderate the server and
make sure things are running smoothly. By having regular hack tests, statistics, and promotions brawl is being guided in the right direction.

 

The hack test time is not under my control. The time between each test has been reduced significantly, changed from 5 months to 2 months is an improvement.

Did I really have to specify that much for you.... I meant brawl as a server, it is our job to moderate the forums, TS, Discord, and in-game.

I would just like to start out by saying that when I (and many other mods) answer reports we would rather be in poof. This is to avoid the conflict when their team mates and others come to flame for a ban. Poof also gives stealth so the person of interest contiues to play how they were previously.

Lastly, there are reports from other servers too, Not just Warz. There are huge amounts of hackers on kit brawl, wild west, war, party, and CTF. I am active on all servers, just because I’m not as active on yours doesn’t mean I’m not doing my job.
If you expected this to be about WarZ you should have posted it in the warz forums section.

like its the community's responsibility to moderate the server yet the same people complaining about the staff arent exactly trying to help the community

 

The ingame report system has been like this since I resigned. Hell, I used to ignore them too. There needs to be a much greater emphasis on responding to reports for sure. Maybe add an incentive or grade staff on their responses to /report? @chickenputty

 

That shouldn't be the case tho. Staff shouldn't need an incentive to answer reports - it's their job and a large part of what they signed up for. Imo, the better solution is cracking the whip down on them. The staff team could be a lot more efficient if things were slightly more strict. This doesn't mean you have to be mean to the staff or ruin the fun, but just tighten a bit of the expectations a bit more. Adding a grade might help, but it would be pretty hard to accurately count, as timezones or whatever would influence how many players report / who has already gone to reports and cluttering the situation.

 

I agree on the no need for incentive fully. The grading thing could be a bit of an issue to do since some player like JMods can't handle certain reports when Mod+ are offline.

Like 0racle said there should not be an incentive to go to a report. Just got to it. I go to any report I can unless I see a Mod there or I know there is nothing I can do with my perms.

yes but you want the staff demoted so why not just apply and help the server yourself instead of complaining
