WarZ "Revival" Thread

Not going to respond anymore cause it's a waste of time, but I was pointing out that nmh did nothing as mod (regardless of whether he claimed he did) yet calls me out for doing nothing. He had more oppertunity to rise in the ranks especially since the community liked him. He had the ability but resigns and claims that changing brawl is as simple as contacting the higher ups. Also as said before, the protocol isn't going to be changed properly anyways; moreover, the rising availability of ghost clients further complicates it. Not to mention plenty of games other than Minecraft are infinitely more entertaining than Minecraft in general.

 

That doesn't change the fact that your point wasn't helpful to your arguement. That's like saying you can't criticize a president for doing something because you haven't done it either. He can still criticize your work even if he didn't do much. And just because ghost clients spring up or the protocol can't change, doesn't mean nothing can be done at all, that just sounds unnecessary.

I don't think discussion is a waste of time. Why not accept criticism for what you say, why do we need experience like you to criticize your time as staff?

You can't tp, perm ban or do pretty much anything hacker related as a jmod. The problem is there's no staff at all

I was more so suggesting my help for events / implementing updates since thats what i primarily do for wildwest as well. As for ingame stuff, yea, no bueno. All i can do is moderate chat, I agree we need more staff for warz, but I figured I can at least try to contribute to representing you guys to higher ups etc. until that time comes.

 

I only resigned because of school and the lack of players on the servers. If I was able to stay, I would've.

 

Well, I think if more players would play I would play too again. Just joined on Warz and well 0 Players on all WarZ Servers. Hope something changes to it. I Would like to see some things of the old time again.

 

WarZ was fun at its peak but it did get boring and that was quite a few years ago. A lot of you may know who i am from when we all played it sadly that acc got hacked and so i used my brothers, now i stopped playing minecraft because the game its self got boring to me but if WarZ did come back i may come play again. (Its Aaric34) I may have to bring friends.

 

haven't been here in a while... i don't plan on coming back for long, if people actually played the server and things were updated, i might consider coming back for a little bit. i agree with 90% of what tallscot said in this thread, and it'd be smart to at least consider and talk to the higher-ups about bringing back some joy into warz

 

Excellent idea about the tracker, doing that would prevent xray from being confused with just using a tracker. It could be renamed something like "GPS tracker" and then you could go along with the idea that "oh, there's someone near you, but the GPS isn't that accurate". I would very much want to see this implemented since it makes xray just a little bit more obvious, and when it's already tough to successfully catch, every little thing helps.

Another way to make xray more obvious would be to remove nametags (at least if the player is close to you), although if people are sneaky enough then having no nametags would also make xraying all the more effective. not sure how I feel about the nametag thing to be honest :v

Additionally, I wish I could think of a reliable way to host an event over a longer period of time since that would be one of the best ways to retain players for more than a day, but I'm kind of blanking out lol. I think right now a point system would be fine if some conditions were added that prevented stuff like camping spawntowns and farming alts.

 

I recall you playing with milkmaid while he was aimbotting. Shut the **** up. Lol

Do what @tallscot said and people will come back to the community that simple.

 

if we teach new players how to actually play the game and give them tp power then that will the best chance at a warz revival and nothing else comes close
