Currently, to talk in team chat, you either use '*', and to talk in clan chat you use '@'.
I believe these two symbols are two of the most useful ones available, people use the '*' sign to correct their errors, and end up accidentally sending messages in their team chat, and people try to use '@' to tag certain players, but end up just saying a name in clan chat.

I believe that the keys should be changed to signs that you would see much less at the start of a message, such a a '&' or '%', just to avoid confusion as to why their message didn't work.

The only problem I can see with this is that people are used to it now, and will have to change what they're used to, but I believe this is more beneficial in the long run and friendlier to new players, and even more useful in general.
    What do you think?

Why would you put * before your message when you're correcting a message :V It's supposed to go after it

The @ is a little more annoying due to the pinging thing, but it's not a big enough of an issue to change

I agree that a change would be better, btw for Lekosa1 people often use *Laughs* *Gives hug* things like that and send it in a team chat on accident. I mean if it doesn't take to long to code which I can imagine it not like taking 3 hours to code maybe use different symbols.

But like you said people are already getting used to it meaning that people would accidentally send things that should belong in the team chat in public chat which could cause some problems.

Yeah that is a graet idea!
    .*great

    .* is too long!

But I've never used @ to ping someone... So I think @ don't have to be changed.

I could agree on the @ to tag players, but I only start (*) to correct messages/words AFTER them, not before

I don't see the harm in having both of these changed. I have seen plenty of people accidentally use the wrong one by mistake. +1
