The Bee Movie is anti-communist propaganda. As memey as it is, the Bee Movie is actually a political piece meant to separate the proletariat of the masses from unionizing and taking what is rightfully theirs. It distracts us from this fact by introducing the admittedly bizarre psuedo-love story between Barry Benjamin Benson and the woman he befriends, when he uncovers the conspiracy behind humanity's extraction of the bees' honey, an obvious allegory for the bourgeoisie's extraction of value from the proletariat without them even realizing it (Work is "Do work but give me most of the money you make, but I'll frame it like I'm paying you."). Here is where it gets especially malicious. Rather than denying this allegory from the gate, the movie rolls with it, and then introduces the entire "bees suing the human race" angle. There's funny hijinks, jokes for the adults in the audience, the whole 9 yards. The end of the story, in which Barry wins but then everything starts getting worse, is an obviously false allegory for how socialist communes make everything worse. It pegs the idea that the workers fully owning what they produce as a meritocratic society causes everybody to fall into hedonism, which results in nobody working and an overall failure for everyone. This is simply untrue. It's why rich people have hobbies—people want to do things, work even, even if they don't need to. In a realistic setting (as realistic as talking bees gets), the bee population would flourish, and they might even someday establish a world order rivaling the humans. But while they live under the heel of the bourgeois humans, they will never take what is rightfully theirs.
