Idea ban reset easy money ??

Bro like it or not most players who are unbanned cheat on some way, even if it's X-ray or a quick toggle of the aim bot, so using that as an argument is silly especially when what we are trying to say is that there is more of an incentive to avoid cheating if they have the chance to be unbanned. The mods are just making stupid arguments without solid numbers or evidence that the last ban reset wasn't positive. It's not the players fault that a single staff member spent 12 hours banning accounts, that's a fault on brawl for not acting on staff apps and poorly managing staff. The ban reset, based on experience, brought more ranks purchased, opportunities for events, and even if the temporary boost in players was short term, it's still a short term's worth of money and the game will eventually return to the same state as it is now.

 

I wasn't permed before the reset. I was permed for the first time ever in July 2018. I haven't been given a chance when Warz was re-released.

Yeah they're allowed to have lives but @Eil spends quite a bit of time WATCHING NOT PLAYING but watching. Or as Triple said "making it his life mission", hence his priority in life is to only ban people who are alting no more no less. Giving desperate teenagers a second chance isn't going to change them. People who have continuously been doing stupid sh*t for years now won't magically follow the rules if they're unbanned.

For people that were banned a long time ago and would supposedly "return" if unbanned: they knew whatever the hell they were doing when they got banned in the first place. They knew that this is Minecraft, and that their actions really don't have major consequences. Those people will come back with the same mindset and will continue to break rules because they understand that a ban on a Minecraft server doesn't amount to much.

You're right. But this is less about giving people a second chance and more about attempting to bring back some players to warz, which like it or not, is a big part of the server's income. I don't see why they can't just try it out and see if there is a boost in ranks, player count etc. They can roll it back if necessary.

Maybe just me but this is a perfect example of what happens when staff and players just scream past each other with neither of the 2 groups even properly understanding the opposite side.
Bit of a shame, but IMO a ban reset could be done at some point next year. Maybe this time to prevent all the salt in threads like these only unban people banned for hacking or alting, not for the serious offenses such as doxing or threats or whatever.
(Also in respect to what Tom said isn‘t it kind of sad that one staff member does all the ban work which is IMO the easiest and best part of being a staff member?)

 

Again, you failed to address the point of the thread. Did you see a short-term boost in warz purchases, boosters/ranks/unban fees within that time? Brawl has proved time and time again that it cannot maintain players in the long-term. Literally the only downfall you staff see for this is "oh no hackers who hacked will just hack again" dude this isn't about giving people what they deserve this is literally about money and sorry if this requires you to be on for an hour longer than you normally are, but there really needs to be some management in the staff team: allocating the majority of staff to warz for the first week of the reset to ensure the server remains clean, cracking down on cheaters is really not hard especially when they're blatant. I know how it feels, I used to mod the server, but it seems to me that you have a lack of incentive to ban large waves of players who are blatant (if that even happens lmao, we still don't know) and instead feel comfortable chasing alters for an indefinite amount of time.

Once again, this is not entirely about awarding a second, or third chance. Brawl has historically ignored communal requests, and clearly the community doesn't mind another reset, so why not try it again? Change what needed changing from the first ban reset. Listen to the community.

 

Take a look at Brawl‘s current staff team mate, 3/4 of them are on it for the rank. They have 0 reason to dedicate time when the owner and higher staff are about as far away from active as the Andromeda Galaxy is to us

do the ban reset, you guys literally have nothing to lose. "oh they'll hack and we'll actually have to get on the server for more than an hour" here's the thing, back when the server actually mattered staff were expected to put in FAR MORE THAN 1 HOUR. it's actually really sad that that's considered a large amount of time nowadays

and don't take me as one of those biased people that think triple should be unbanned simply because I'm friends with him, considering we've had the worst history and literally almost anybody on this thread can confirm that we've hated each other for a longass time including striker, skater and triple himself

This thread has turned into an appeal for Triple rather than a ban reset discussion, which we have already said won't happen for the reasons previously mentioned in this thread.
