I raided a chest with 11,500 gold in it.

Hey guys-

I've had a theory that @lebronjames0 has been vaulting (i.e. not depositing) gold for at least a few weeks. I figure he would do it to lull me into letting up from raid, and surprise pass me in gold. However, I had no substantial evidence until today.

I was out derping somewhere on the map and found a hole that looked like x-ray. I saw flowing water that the bottom, and figuring that there was likely a base with at least some stuff (maybe zombie flesh and string that I could trade?), I jumped down into the hole.

I found a single (non-dub) chest at the bottom of the hole with an odd trap- the water was set up to flow around it into a lava lake, so if I were break the chest, the contents would be washed into the lake and burned up. Adding to the trap was a block directly on top of the chest so I couldn't open it up.

Figuring this was some kind of meme base, I broke the block and opened the chest, expecting to find a couple of cobble. I ended up finding that it was almost full of gold blocks, by far the richest chest I have ever raided.

I quickly emptied the chest, deposited the contents (approx. 11,500 gold), and took the chest for good measure. With this chest I added almost 50% to my balance.

I have a hunch this was @lebronjames0 's chest, and I assume this was one of many he has hidden throughout the map. I figure that the chest was set up to look like it was x-rayed when it really wasn't. Adding to the hunch was the fact that I recently found around 20,000 rotten flesh by LeBron in the shop, leading me to believe he has been very busy with his gold farm lately. If that's been the case, and his balance wasn't changing, the gold must be going somewhere.

The only other alternatives were that it is from someone else who is gold farming, or a duper. Gold farmers would be a pretty short list of folks (less than 20 players)...

That *could* be the case, or it could be Lebron's gold (which I believe is slightly more likely). @Eil the coordinates of the chest were at roughly -240, 14, -11995 (give or take a few blocks).

 

He recently put over 30k of rotten flesh in the shop (I actually check on this since I use rotten flesh for villager trades). 20k is still there since it's priced above what I can make money off of it.

Also, I have found quite a few of his bases/warps/farms/etc in a lot of past maps. He's had a history of not hiding his stuff well.

 

And if it is dupe, that's fine, not like I did a whole lot to earn it. However, there was only a single chest there- had I found a chest full of Dragon Eggs next to a chest full of Wither skulls, that's obvious dupe, but this wasn't.

 

And if that’s the case, then I can be docked the gold.

But every map I seem to find one of your warps, bases, or farms. This map I found @Yutawatanabe12 ‘s vault after seeing him AFK there. And earlier today I raised @Captain_Global ‘s tropical beach resort after he posted naked coords in chat...
